Medical Emergency # 4
We are fast approaching July. It is in July that Cindy Wilson will again be call before the South Carolina Ethics Commission to answer charges that she violated state ethics laws. This begs the question, what medical emergency will prevent her from answering the Ethics Commission's summons. Will it be a horse with colic, her aunt's late husbands first wife's poodle has the mange? Her fourth cousin's half brother's roommate's funeral?
Correctly pick the medical emergency that will prevent Cindy Wilson from appearing before the SC Ethics Commission for the FOURTH time and win a prize.

Does the S.C. Ethics Commission have the authority to issue contempt citations or, at the very least, to have them issued on their behalf? What ability do they have to compel testimony from an elected official who is the target of an investigation? Can the Governor temporarily remove from office an elected official who refuses to cooperate with the Ethics Commission, pending said cooperation?
Seems to me they might hold all the cards here, but I'm not sure what the process would involve if they continue to get sandbagged by a incumbent elected official.
In any event, until and unless MCW finds a way to miss that July appearance, it's all speculation on our part, isn't it? I do hope she's politically savvy enough to want to get this out of the way, though, rather than having it hanging over her head indefinitely.

That would fit her modus operandi. There is a lot of people out there speculating that Cindy Wilson is strapped for cash. She has never had any professional success or made any money of her own. If you look at her pattern of behavior in the past you will find that when she needs money she marries and then tries to take everything he has in divorce. With the suit for more money from her late second husband's estate having now failed, you may be more right than you know.
However, that's not the point. It will be July in two days and the question is: What lame excuse will Cindy Wilson use to avoid, for the fourth time, appearing before the South Carolina Ethics Commission to answer the charges that she violated the state's ethics laws?
While clearly understanding her child has an illness, If her kid is "sick" again, I want to see the medical admissions chart and excuse from the doc! Otherwise, it's all predicated on an illusion and a sham based on her child's illness. Get a FAMILY MEMBER or nanny to drive her to her appointment. Shoot, ask one of the dozens of concerned screwdriver quackers to go with her to the doctors!

Two things:
1. SSHM is NOT, I repeat NOT, either party in that upcoming marriage. I know this for a fact. We had a blog lunch with probably 25 people that could verify that for you. Of course that was back before the CAVE people got on ATZ and made it too scary to show your real identity.
2. I would be really, really surprised if either Michelle or Jeff really cared enough about what was going on in Anderson County right now to bother to get on this forum, but I'm not 100 percent sure who Leopold is. I'm pretty sure I can tell from the information and writing style, so I'd put my money on someone else. Regardless, we shouldn't attempt to "out" someone on the forum.

Leo, I'm a bit confused, but I'm sure that you, in all your certitude, can help me out. I thought Cindy Wilson had a) made a fortune by charging landowners along the ill-fated and still unprofitable Beaverdam sewer line money to be their champion on Council and b) unethically and illegally made a huge profit from her handling of the Walgreen's real estate deal.
Yet now she is strapped for cash?
Check the records, leo. Cindy Wilson uses virtually none of her available cash/expense money as a member of council, unlike Gracie, Willie, Michael, Larry, Fred, Bill, et al. She has been sued repeatedly in efforts to intimidate and deter her. The reason you and so many others enlisted for this blog detest her is that she refuses to be intimidated or deterred. Her persistence and determination have been instrumental in the re-shaping of Anderson's political landscape,and the earth moving is just getting started. For one thing, the Council's decisions in recent months to pay Council members' legal fees when these frivolous slap suits are filed has reshaped the strategies on both sides.The most recent decision to seek costs from these civic minded folks filing these lawsuits will be the death knell for such mindless litigation.
BTW, JD, Mary,any mention of the marriage of Angel and Wyatt, or of Mary and Willie,seems to raise the ire of many on this site, but as usual, those attacking Cindy are given free rein. Nice moderation.

It was deleted because you referred to another ATZ member by a given name (which, by the way, was just a shot in the dark by you that missed widely) and had nothing to do profanity or stepping on Mary's toes. It was an effort to expose the real identity of an ATZ member.
Furthermore, for the second time, you have co-opted Merrymacsc's avatar - obviously just as an attempt to irritate her. She won't point that out. I will. That's not against the rules at all - several here have the same avatars - but doing it just to harass another member is certainly annoying to other members.
Since you are so insistent that your post should not have been deleted, and since - as is your style - you were going to twist its deletion into something sinister that a moderator had no business doing, I have reversed that decision and restored all one line of it.
