The Seventh Sense
As I make it a habit to not listen to ric driver...can anyone fill me in on what was said about this company?
It appears that someone did not bother to pick up the telephone to talk to the woman before an attack was launched on her business. They shot first without asking the obvious question: What was she actually paid for?.
Apparently, someone went to that business and got belligerent with her as a result of some radio talk show commentary. She was on that radio talk show, yesterday, to clarify. She was apparently a graphic designer who created some newsletters for the County, years ago. Because of economic circumstances, she started another career as a massage therapist. Apparently ,she did both graphic design and massage therapy during her career transition. Apparently, she billed the County for the graphic design work on her massage business letter head.
What people saw was several thousand dollars paid to a massage parlor by Anderson County.
What people did was jump to a false conclusion.
JK
The dickdriver crowd jumped to conclusions????? Say it ain't so!!!!!
Thanks for the explanation.
Now come on folks, let's use a little common sense here. It is not that hard to make a piece of letterhead on your home computer.
If I were to bill anyone for something I sold or did as contract work, I would design a letterhead to fit that business. ESPECIALLY if I were doing a graphics design business.
To bill five thousand dollars for graphics on massage business letterhead -- does that indicate a good business decision?
I am no rocket scientist. But that just seems idiotic.

You blame the victim? She does not own a radio station.
One has to wonder how many other people have been hurt, and will be in the future, from false conclusions. Especially, when it appears that some are seeking to put others into prison.
Common sense dictates that you would fact check prior to slander.
JK
Queen, you seem to completely disregard the fact that, according to the owner of the business, the invoice indicated that it was for graphic design/newsletter services. Have you seen her letterhead? Can you say with certainty that it indicates "massage therapy" or does it have simply have the name of the company?
This woman was raked over the coals by the Driver crowd. And even AFTER she answered every question that was asked, they continued to disparage her remarks. That crowd does not want truth, they want their own version of the truth. That will never change, even if their own "investigators" can find nothing of substance. We should expect more for $300,000+ of our tax money than simply finding things that are "questionable" or not to their liking. That report had better contain something earth shaking or it won't be worth the paper it's printed on.
Many of us have been saying now...for years..that all that woudl ever turn up are items that some in the county would disagree with.
All perfectly legal...but just not to the "liking" of some. That opinions seems to be being substantiated even as we speak.
So what happens if all this investigating turns up nothing illegal? Are we supposed to suddenly say: "no harm..no foul".."let bygones be bygones" and "why can't we all just get along"? and let cindi rick and their clones off the hook?

For you to blame the victim in not just unconscionable it is evil. This is akin to those who absolve the domestic abuser by saying the victim, "had it coming."
Buster is back.
Rumors of my demise have been greatly exagerated.
While I may have been "up the river", that too may have been misinterpreted.
I can't wait for June first when "It will all come out!
This should be particularly interesting in light of recent events regarding the Seventh Sense.
Have y'all noticed the paradigm shift from "fraud, corruption, orange jumpsuits and chrome bracelets" to "questionable, more efficient, and things we just don't like?" Seems the Ricky crowd is just softening us up for a big let down. Could it be that they haven't found any prosecutable wrong-doing and are hoping that the sheep (blind followers) will continue to be lead astray by Ricky?
I'm certainly willing to wait intil June first to find out. But I don't think they have anything of substance on any of the former (or present) councilmen or the former administrator.
I may be wrong but when they think they have something they go public with it without any in-depth investigation. Case in point: The Seventh Sense. This started out with claims by the Ricky crowd that Joey had paid for a massage and it grew to $5000 worth of massages! Now the radio bunch is licking their wounds and trying to justify their unsupportable position by questioning the lady publicly and suggesting a cover-up! Nice try.
It makes one wonder about the so-called investigators. Could it be that this obvious "Keystone cops" investigative skill is why they are "ex-SLED" investigators?
Remember, the meter is still running. The cost to us taxpayers is probably well over a quarter million bucks and all we have are reports of "investigators" measuring fences (no wrong-doing found) and chasing massages (no wrong-doing found).
But I'll wait till June first. But don't keep us waiting any longer. If they have found any wrong-doing, NOT just things they "don't like", it's time to let it come out. And if they have not, it's time to give it up, admit they were wrong, and cut our losses. If they have not found any wrong-doing yet, there is NO JUSTIFICATION for spending another penny on this witch hunt.
Has June 1st been designated as the absolute release date of the investigation results?
If it takes a little longer, does it make the findings invalid?
Welcome back, Buster.
I have serious issues with how this crowd has completely run this local business through the mud. My understanding was that (and this may not be correct) this firm was contracted to fill in for an individual who was serving overseas at that time.
Considering how the dribble crowd likes to wrap themselves in the American Flag, I find it highly UNPATRIOTIC that they would see fit to denigrate a modern-day Rosie the Riveter.
Apologize for your listeners, for they lack the capacity to do so themselves.

-non-sequitur
Yes June 1st was designated as the release date of the new paperback by none other than Eddie Moore himself. He said it will all come out on June 1. It will be better than any paperback. That's a paraphrase. I'm sure someone can link us to the news story. The longer it takes non-sequitur, the more suspect it makes the findings. If as much wrong-doing had occured during the past council's tenure as this present council maintains, it would have all come out long before June 1. When and if anything comes out it will certainly be more fictitious than any paperback you can name.

The hot air and mindless dribble from our anti-patriotic neo-Tillmanists must cease. It serves no purpose and the humor factor was lost a LONG time ago.

No, Centrist-View, I do not view this as "blaming the victim." You posted the following -- "Apparently, she billed the County for the graphic design work on her massage business letter head."
We are discussing a business. Small or not, it is a business. I think it is unfortunate and terribly misguided that any businessperson would bill for anything on letterhead other than what the business is for. Even a simple invoice book from Office Depot would have been better than that.
In the current political climate, it was asking for a firestorm. And it appears that is exactly what happened.
Agreed, Ellie. Eddie Moore said exactly that, as reported by the AIM on May 9. I guess it will all come out in time. Are they softening the date now to allow for more time so they can find something worth reporting on?
Again, Queen, how could she know when she was making out the invoice all those years ago that she would be subject to a witch hunt down the road? Consult a crystal ball? The firestorm was lit by this misguided council and fanned to a fever pitch by the Driver crowd.
Sweet-P, I respectfully disagree with your view. A business is a business. And it has been unfortunate that a poor decision has caused her this problem.
Maybe Queen she was being a good conservative--using up existing letterhead before having new printed. And sweet-p that's what all is in this county now: a firestorm ignited by a misguided, misinformed, and incompetent council and fanned into a holocaust by the misinformed and ignorant Driver crowd.
