Just a thought, or is it just my imagination, but OPEC is meeting today (Dec 17) to discuss cutting production in order to raise prices. Why then did gas prices start going up the evening of Dec 16. This new higher priced gas is not yet even in the system. This is a rip off. One station owner told me the last time prices were going down that it took several days for it to be reflected at the pump because the tanks still had the higher priced gas in the underground tanks. OK, so why does it go up so fast when the cheaper gas is now still in the tanks? Shouldn't it also take several days for that gas to be used up before the new more expensive stuff arrives? Rip Off!

I agree it is a rip off when they jack up the price on speculation, but agree, somewhat, with the store operator that says he has to be able to pay for the higher priced stuff when it comes in later.

How come no one pickets the small businessmen when they screw the taxpayer?
When Chik Filet raises its prices, how come no one demands an audit to see if they have cut all the fat first?
BTW..are you still paying for gasoline "surcharges" on yoru garbage, package delivery, or pizza service?

When you walk into Chick filet, you make a choice to go there. Not like we had a choice about paying Preston. If they put it to a vote I bet the majority of Anderson would have said NO

It's quite obvious you think like a socialist. Why would anyone care to protest/picket or do anything else to ChickFilA or anyother privately owned business for raising their prices? If you don't like the prices go to another restaurant. Better yet, eat at home.
The government doesn't give you a choice. You pay or you lose your home or go to jail.
Capitalism allows you to choose to spend or not. Government says pay or go to jail or the viaduct.
Totally different scenerio's. Try again.
