This represents the second ban on that screen name. Posting privileges for that member can be restored only with the approval of four of five members of the moderation team.

For those who don't yet realize what we're up against recent months, here's a quote from our "sister" forum - www.hankeysdamnyankeeway.lefora.com - from less than a half hour ago that may put it in context for you:

The moderators have completely lost it. They have banned Wyatt, VOR, and andersonretro and ME! We all got banned mostly for not agreeing with moderation which is skewed by the moderators own opinions.

To be fair, as a protest of the bans on Wyatt, VOR and andersonretro, I asked JD to ban me. I told him I'd be over on Hankey and taking others with me.

So- Hankey, ramp it up. We'll show them!

For those who are interested, that is an unmoderated forum that only has one rule: Don't tick off the "Lord and Creator" Mr. Hankey. Check it out. Some of you may enjoy the light-hearted and light-headed banter you find there if they don't try to kiss you with those foul mouths.

Contrary to a posts several weeks ago by Republikin, there is no danger of your getting a virus over there (unless it's a RINOvirus or something), and ATZ members should feel totally comfortable posting there and here. There is no penalty on ATZ for what you say on the other forum, no matter how despicable, disgusting or untrue it is..

The following screen names have had their privileges suspended for a period of one week: Andersonretro, Wyatt1sc and voice-of-reason. No appeal is necessary. Their privileges will be automatically restored at the end of the temporary ban. However, using other screen names to complain about this action during the suspension period may result in a suspension of those screen names also.

This action has been taken with the concurrence of a majority of the panel of moderators of Anderson Talkzone and is not a unilteral action.

One of those banned has requested that we refrain from discussing moderation issues on the public forum, so we'll try that this time. Other members are encouraged to let this go without comment.

Anderson Talkzone is and will continue to be a moderated forum for its members to issues of interest to them and others. Thank you for your continued support and participation.

I did not coin the title "Your Lord and Creator" for Hankey, Willieh. Hankey did that himself, on his forum. JDTippett is neither "Lord" nor "creator" on ATZ. He's part of a team.

And, for what it's worth, it isn't moderation that has killed this community. It's people twisting facts with their evil little political games - on both sides of the issues - that have damaged its credibility significantly.

Feel free to add to the debate in a civil manner if you want to, but this is a moderated forum. Personal attacks will not be allowed. Take that as an informal warning, or ignore it. Makes no difference to me or to the other moderators.

While I'm at it, there are two similar screen names on ATZ - "voiceofreason" and "voice-of-reason." A warning was sent to both screen names earlier today, but it was intended only for "voice-of-reason."

Voiceofreason, if you're reading this, just ignore that warning. You are correct. You haven't posted here in months now.

Other posters should know that, if somebody attempts to impersonate you with a similar screen name, that is called "masking." It's rare, but we'll deal with it on a case-by-case basis. I have no idea if that's what's going on with that name.

No, I have been registered for a while. Like I said, I mainly post over at Hankey Way. But when I saw that republikin and others were banned for no reason. I felt the need to give my opinion. That is my right is it not?

I just checked your ATZ profile. It says you have been a member for a little over 10 hours. So is that what passes for "registered for a while" in your world? So you did see during your long participation on the forum that republikin asked to be banned?

Actally, Like I posted at Hankey way. Been signed up for about a month.
Anyway, does having thousands of posts make you some kind of know it all?

You need to elaborate on the credibility issue of this site being damaged.  I saw  the AIM severing ties with this site months ago. This is not some accredited or sanctioned news organization web site to begin with.just a spin off of the LEFORA free websites as is the hankeyway you send everyone to. Unless someone affiliated with this website is a pulitzer winner, there is not facts supporting your claim.

What I did notice is how you eliminated a poster simply on their response to add them to the ban because they responded to the topic. That seemed heavy handed to me.
