I think that JD should be told not to accuse posters of being people that they are not. Also, he shouldn`t delete posts just because he disgarees with it........

Tend to agree with VOR on THIS one. Blogs and webisodes of the likes as this are strictly for entertainment purposes only. As very few post under their real names, or as an "authority" on any said subject, or under license to post as such, this blog is merely speculation,rumor mill, personal opinions and a citizens reaction collection point. Thinking this blog will be some kind of Nobel-worthy literary collection is nonsense, and that being linked to AIM makes it some sort of accepted form of authentic or accredited news source is even more ridiculous. This forum should not be allowed to be used for the entertainment of a few at the expense of others. For those who desire to express extreme and outrageous views, there are numerous blogs, which would welcome their participation. Anderson Talk Zone is a moderated forum, so it can uphold decent and reasonable community standards. At one time, many community leaders and officials were regular readers of our forum, attempting to understand the pulse of the community. However, we allowed a few posters with high-school mentality to destroy our credibility and make our forum uncomfortable and offensive to those seeking to understand and participate in a meaningful dialogue.

With the efforts of JDTippett and other interested posters, I am hopeful that we can regain our days of reasonable sanity.

There has been an intense debate over the need of moderation of Anderson Talk Zone. I especially appreciate the role that JDTippett has played and the courage he exhibited in staying the course. I equally appreciate those who have expressed concerns over how JDTippett has implemented moderation. At the least, they seem interested in continuing to participate on our forum.

In order for Anderson Talk Zone to regain its readership and impact on our community, we need to make serious changes in what we post and how we post it. We need to convince the Independent-Mail that we are worthy of a link to their Webpage. So, moderation is not only helpful to reaching our goal, but essential.

JDTippett has made three simple requests:

1.Do not start too many threads containing the same topic.2.Use appropriate language.3.Avoid unfair and libel personal attack on others.

I personally support JDTippett in his efforts, and I do believe that his requests are reasonable.
