Not paying Preston a million dollars would have also gone a long way to helping Anderson Pappy. The audit needs to be started. There are other ways the County can cut the budget. Taxes have been reduced because the taxes are not coming in. Remember, a letter was sent asking to have a hiring freeze but those 25 jobs were transferred to pay part of the Preston bonus package.

One person capable of conducting a time management study would cut a lot of the fluff off the budget.

As Queen indicated, in her common sense and civil post, she didn’t vote for the President-elect but hopes for the country’s sake that he succeeds. I feel the same way about the forthcoming new council. They won fair and square, and even though I didn’t support them, I hope for all our sakes that they succeed .

Andersonretro, you have created in recent weeks more than a dozen WAIM/Rick Driver threads, and I frankly don't give a damn if you respect me or not. You were warned gently to avoid spamming this board with your personal vendattas. Pay attention now. I know who you are, and I know what you're doing. Knock it off. Last warning. I assure you, we can ban or delete screen names faster'n you can create 'em. You have, indeed, seen my angry side before, just not under your current screen name.

If you have something relevant or new to ADD to an old thread, feel free to do so. I don't care one way or another what anybody thinks about Rick Driver or WAIM. I've never listened to his show. But adding inane or useless comments to numerous old threads just to bump them to the top and creating numerous threads about the same topic is SPAMMING. SPAMMING is not allowed.

Republikin, that was a joke I made. I'm not the one who needs the sense of humor. If you want to get your drawers in a wad over a joke and make disparaging remarks about me other bloggers as a result, feel free to do so - on Hankey's blog. You, I don't need to warn again.

I'm not backing down, Non-seq, but I do have far more patience than I'm given credit for here. Besides, there's a TEAM of moderators involved. It doesn't matter what I personally think.

There are only two screen name that are formally banned on ATZ, and I really don't think those two screen names even exist anymore. Banning or suspending posters really is a last resort and one we don't take lightly. That's why I willingly take cheapshots for issuing gentle warnings as JDTippett, rather than routinely sending out warnings as a moderator and seeking sanctions against members from the others on the moderator team.

As a moderator in recent days, I've locked and unlocked topics. I've even deleted a couple of posts that served no purpose other than to push an old topic to the topic with other similar new topics. That's about as subtle as I can be, but apparently some people just can't take a hint.

Perhaps we should change the system. One of the reasons we get disparaged and shoved around by those who don't believe in moderation is because we ARE too patient. Maybe we'll discuss that someday soon.

Andersonretro, I don't believe I've ever indicated whether I agree with you or disagree with you about whether Rick Driver is a positive or a negative force in the Anderson community. If you must know, I think there are some among both his supporters AND his detractors who walk right up to the edge of insanity and stare into the abyss.

But this isn't about that. It's about you spamming ATZ with WAIM/Rick Driver/radio-related topics. It's about your creating numerous thread about exactly the same topic, bumping old threads about the same topic, and filling those with flights of fantasy that, I would assume, you intend to be satire. There is nothing wrong with satire, not is there anything wrong with creating new threads - up to a point. You seem to be obsessed, and I've politely asked you to stop or, at least, cut back on that activity. That's not an unreasonable request. And it's not about WHAT you are spamming. It is THAT you are spamming.

The other moderators can talk to me about this if they'd like (those who haven't already talked to me about it.) You have been verbally warned, here, about your actions. It isn't about any previous screen names, and it isn't about whether I agree with you or disagree with you (although, let me note, if I were inclined to ban posters who disagree with me, you wouldn't even make the Top 10 list of targets.) It is about your actions under screen name Andersonretro.

Let it go, and please comply with the request. This will be my last open post to you as JDTippett on this topic. My next warning to you will be as a moderator/administrator,. It it will arrive via ATZ e-mail, and it will arrive with the concurrence of a majority of the moderator panel.. Game over..

Hey everbody, gather round, sinse this is an open forum you have the right to bring up any topic or start a new topic any time you want to, unless you can  prove that the member is spamming, which is very hard to prove, then and only then can you as a moderator/administrator do anything about it.

Sometimes I go back and bring up old topics just to see what has been going on with it, not to say that I am spamming , Just like keeping up with old news as well as new news.

JD as far as you knowing who he is, that doesn't have a thing to do with what he post or what he says in the post as long as he keeps it uncensored. If he is someone that has been baned from the forum then why is he allowed to be back and don't tell me that under another screenname that you can't tell that it is the same person that has been baned.
