Where will the Preston/Anderson County Council Lame Duck farewell party be held???
I doubt anything that outrageous is in the works, A-venter. I was just playing that silly "what-if" game with Prevail and 1-Opinion 'cuz I'm bored. I may have to send me a warning about lowering myself to their level before it's all over. 
One of them did throw out a fact, though. Surprised me, actually.
That "hold blameless" clause in JP's buyout applies only to potential future civil litigation between him and County Council or Anderson County. Neither the current Council nor the incoming Council can immunize him against any potential criminal charges if - and this is really an OUTSIDE chance - any criminal wrongdoing is uncovered after his departure. But I don't think, for even a second, that will happen.
Joey Preston may be an arrogant political bonehead who is careless with appearances, but he's no criminal.Some can say I'm a dreamer...of nightmares...because I have a feeling that Preston and his Shame Gang will 'give' the honest people of our county a 'Merry Christmas' present. REMEMBER, THE FOUR, Preston, McAbee, Thompson and Greer that have their bus tickets hate the people of this county for putting them out of their castles and throne-rooms. They don't care if you supported them or not, the same treatment they dish out to those that put them out also goes to their supporters as well. Their supporters will pay the price for years to come as those that kicked them out. I look for fireworks like Anderson has never seen, and set up by the King himself, the one, the only one, Joey Ray Preston. There have been many scam artists. And their teacher was Joey Ray. We all know of 5 elected officials that he scammed and seems to hold a noose over their heads and certain employees he scammed. Now, Anderson, notice, he has scammed ALL 175,000 OF US.

I too was playing, but playing with the thought that one should never say can't happen here. LOL I failed to add the smiley faces to show joking or sarcasm.
I really think (opinion) JP is as ready to move on just as much as some of the voters in AC are ready for him to move on. Whether he looks for work elsewhere or retires who knows. I would expect a person with the energy he has, will not sit and grow old.

Oh man, did you call THAT one right!! There'll NEVER be a happy medium for these Driver-whiners. Everyone in the county could receive an absolutely free of strings check foe 1.1 million and STILL they'd say it was a conspiracy thunked up by JRP.

I agree!!!! We need to start taking bids about who will provide the cash bar for the County Council Meetings!!! You need a buzz for this three ring circus!!!
