I didn't say they would be appointed by council without proper notification and application according to ordinance. The job must be advertised and every applicant examined. I said that Harvell and Hunter are rumored to be in the running and I hope one of them will be the next administrator.

Gracie Floyd, and court clowns, did not follow procedure when hiring a new administrator. Her act was 100% planned by Joey Ray and all 5 of his gang read what he told them to say and do. Council did not select and hire Cunningham, Preston did. The 'right' way to do it is very different from the way it was done.
I have no earthly idea if Bob and Cindy want Harvell or Hunter as administrator. They will follow proper procedure along with the 3 new members when the time comes. There will be no back stabbing and money passed under the table anymore on council when the change is made. We will have 5 honest people sitting.

How much will the lame ducks bill to the county for the farewell party? Will they end the party by reveiling the new 24K Solid Gold statue of Joey Preston on the square???? I think their money and county credit cards should be cut of.... They would be better off at the Southerner Motor Lodge!!!!
Harvell and Hunter would both be bad choices. Both men have agendas and goals they want to acheive most of which are not practical. For example while I am all for having to pay less taxes I realize we need to pay them in order to have bridges and roads as well as other services. Cunningham has the good of the entire county in mind, he is a mild mannered man of strong faith he will do the right thing (s)....after careful deliberation.
Will the next Anderson County Council Meeting see the Lame Ducks pass a motion to spend $100,000 for a grand farewellparty for Joey Preston and themselves??? This is the kind of crap that they have done in the past!!! I guess that it will be at the Anderson Hilton Garden Inn. Well folks, YOU MISSED IT, the party is over. We all had a great time. The party was held in a secret place. Each person who attend was given a brain scan and dental exam, because only those with a brain and teeth were allowed in. Thankfully, I had my dental work up-to-date. Before my detractors get to slam me, you should know, I passed the brain scan. Imagine that!

Preston and the Gang of Shame have partied at Hilton Head and Myrtle Beach numerous times over the years. I predict they will have a blast at the finest hotel at one of those places.....and ALL at our expense. They ALL still have their credit cards, as far as I know, and we can put nothing beyond any of them. Preston may have several cards, McAbee probably has the EcoDev card he has used often and we don't really know who else has our credit cards cause King Joe says it's none of our business to know how he spends our money. As long as it's not their money they don't give a hootie hoot how it's spent.

I am a little confused. Why would you want to moderate or warn someone for blogging? Is this site moderated? Are you the moderator? Do you not allow free speech?
I have only been here a couple of days. I can't find much offensive with the postings. Maybe I am missing something. Sounds like spirited debate and opinion.
It looks like to me (and this is only my opinion as a newbie)that the teacher just walked back into the class and wants to control the debate.
Try it this way and maybe you will not have so many thumbs down;
Mr. Preston and his employees have endured many a conference over the years. Some of the places they have been forced to visit while learning or sharing their experiences include Hilton Head and multiple trips to Myrtle Beach. Mr. Preston mixed business with Economic Development efforts spending his evenings researching the areas fine dining looking for new prospects for the downtown revitalization project. Not all dining was fine. It has been noted that our employees also visited Friday's a mid-priced restaurant. To reduce the workload of the finance department Mr. Preston thoughtfully put dinner and beverages on his county credit cards.
Mr. Preston continues to insure that he and his employees are well cared for while pursuing the business of the county. He will maintain his credit card privileges through November 30, 2008. It is assumed because he will then be a contract worker both his county credit card and county gas card will be returned. Other credit card holders are unknown as Mr. Preston has vigorously enforced a privacy rule so as to protect his employees and himself from hostile requests for information that he believes will cause confusion among the masses.
This what I would like to see the last County Council meeting end with.
