U.F.O.`s discussed nightly on WAIM-AM 1230-Why does Rick Driver air this trash?

I gotta say, I've never listened to this station or Rick Driver, however I gotta see (or hear) what all the ado is about. It sure seems he is either loved or hated, and DOMINATES some folks thoughts. It seems as if the anti-Driver crowd is actually promoting his program.

Well I usually listen to John Boy and Billy. If I'm listening to the radio that time of morning I'm probably on the way home from work and fussing about this and that, or hearing how bad someone thinks everything is going is not what I'm in the mood for. Being a John Boy and Billy fan may say something about my intelligence level though. I guess I'm blissfully ignorant. I guess that beats the stressed out, "the ski is falling" chicken little, train of thought. I know it works for me anyway.

Some man overnights on WAIM-AM 1230 talks nightly abot U.F.O.`s and the government covering them up. I bet that Rick Driver will come out and say that there are many UFO`s flying around Anderson at night. Is Joey Preston covering this up? I wonder if the folks on council that Driver doesn`t like are really space aliens from Outer Space. Hmm........ Come to think of it, I wonder if Rick Driver came from an Outer Space U.F.O.!!!!!!!!!!

I see what you mean about keep the topics in associated threads. I will say that Joey Preston, most of the County Council and WAIM-AM are ALL embarrasements to Anderson County. I can`t believe that these WAIM-types come on here and suggest that I am Joey Preston. Well, I am not. I think that he should resign. He has done alot of stupid things. Just look how silly the Council, Preston and WAIM are to Anderson. We need POSTIVE leadership-new in Anderson. It is time for a clean slate. The negative need to go..... By the way, aren`t they talking about UFO`s over Anderson this morning on WAIM?

Those of you who know just a bit about the radio industry should know that syndicated programs are bought on contract, with virtually no say so over input. They are also bought based on their ability to generate advertising revenues.Actually, the UFO show makes more sense than Laura Ingram, a fair part of the time.

I know Anderson and people hear want OLDIES!!!! We have WAY too many talk stations! Put Oldies on WRIX-FM 103!!!!!!!! That automated format now sucks!!!!!

I stopped listening to WRIX when they dropped Bortz.

Only listened in the car anyway. Maybe a total of 10 or 15 minutes per trip max.

I have weak AM reception and can't get WANS or WAIM until I get closer to town.

Honestly in ref to call-in radio I miss to much and have gotten too a-custom to TIVO where I can replay what I miss. I find myself wanting to hit the rewind button on my Radio.

So I do listen... to HIS radio or car horns.

BTW you can set on scan and get Christmas music already.

We needd our Good Times and Great Oldies on WRIX-FM 103.1!!!!!!! The Beatles, Elvis, Supremes, Johnny Rivers, neil diamond etc.....

I think most of the old Prestonites listen to WAIM from what they have said on numerous posts over the past few months. We know that Amy Plummer does almost every day, and she did make a monkey out of herself this morning. WAIM has some of the very best national commentators 24/7 and I enjoy listening occasionally to UFO programs on the radio and on TV. I'm one that is not convinced that there are no UFOs. Maybe one will kidnap King Joe and take him to a place far far away and save the county some bucks. Hope the UFO is large enough to take his Gang of Shame too.
Retro, you are so hung up on the oldies, which I like too, why don't you drop by WRIX and suggest that idea?
