Can't we ban Pappy for his consistent, unfounded slander against our country and leaders?

He makes these allegations while riding his butt around in a gas powered vehicle. If you don't like the oil companies, walk!

Huh ?

What slaner ? What allegations ?

Saying we started a war for gas. Saying the president is in the pockets of oil companies.

You have no proof of either. It seems to me that is preaching hate against the country and its leaders. Is that an act of sedition or just free speech?

What do you have to say about the factual list of countries we purchase oil from? It belies your allegations.

Let’s get this topic back on track.

The fact that always amazed me is that I have read many times that over 90% of our imported oil comes from our North American allies.

Assuming that is true, it seems ludicrous that we would purposely sacrifice American lives for less than 10% of our oil imports.

-pappy

Republikin, it seems to me that PAPPY is saying just the opposite: "Assuming that is true, it seems ludicrous that we would purposely sacrifice American lives for less than 10% of our oil imports." Not only does it seem ludicrous, it IS ludicrous, but, you know, "No Blood for Oil" makes a great bumpersticker to fool the dumb masses. Wink

Having said that, Anderson Talkzone doesn't ban anybody for "unfounded slander against our country and leaders." Some here ARE Democrats - including PAPPY, I think - and many of the rest of us actually LIKE Democrats, even when we disagree with them. But give it about a year. It'll be the Republicans who are "slandering our nation" for political gain. I fear it'll be brutal, since politics no longer ends at the water's edge.

Yeap JD, I saw Pappy's post the same way. Now I wouldn't give Pappy a toothpick if I owned a lumberyard, but I don't think he was smearing and slandering THIS time. I actually agree with what he said.

I'd share my last toothpick with PAPPY, Democrat or not, but I suspect he may balk at such generosity. Laughing

Jd: I give JD and the Moderators my permission ( I know you don't need it) to delete my comments about Pappy's slandering, etc. about the country and its leaders. Apparently, I am preconditioned by Pappy's outburst to jump to a conclusion on what he's say'n now. Or, perhaps I'm just plain dumb.

I'd be scared he'd get a splinter from the toothpick I gave him then hold me responsible to pay for all the medical bills as well as work missed, and then for the pain and suffering, and then whatever else goes wrong will somehow get traced back to the toothpick I gave him and it will be proven it was all a conspiracy to keep him down and out of work in the first place. Therefore forcing him to depend upon my handouts which would get passed on from generation to generation therefore...........(see, it would never end.)

It's okay, Republikin. PAPPY's a big boy, and so is JD. Tearing each other apart politically is a whole lot different from tearing each other apart personally. I continue to hold out hope that, someday, everybody will recognize that difference.

Rep, it takes a big person to fess up when they were wrong. I keep waiting for the day I'm wrong to see if I'll be big enough.

"LETS INVADE VEN-EZ-UELA NEXT"

I vote Cuba. We could call it Bush's war for cigars. (Of course cigars was a Clinton thing wasn't it.)

Don't know about you, Former-cop, but I'd be willing to bleed a little for a good Cuban cigar right now.

Speaking of which, I thought tobacco was outlawed in the Clinton White House. Why wasn't he prosecuted for having that cigar? Wink

I aint so much into the cigars, but ol Fidel sure has some purdy girls down that way. I'd probably take a grazer to the toe for Cuba.

Never mind the purdy bit, Former-cop. Cuban wimmen know how to get by on, like, $60 a month, which would leave me with a lot more money for cigars.

(Okay, Blogger, Petunia, Noeline, Republikin ... Fire away! I'm already hunkered down in the bunker this morning.) Laughing

Do not worry JD. We will not allow this blog to become a patriarchy. We can probably make it on $60 a month after charging for all the services we preform but you "ain't gonna" like it. Laughing

HaHa, this aint craigslist. I'm sorry, couldn't help that one.
(I see Clemson PD picked up two from there.)

(I'm sorry Petunia, I hope you can take a joke. A shot that wide open doesn't come along often.)
