1. The other moderators are listed on the main page, at the top - Merrymacsc, PAPPY, Ibvirginia, and Art Kaldas (I'm not sure Art knows yet, so let's surprise him.)

2. Official warnings from a moderator come in the form of a formal-looking e-mail. As of now, it will come from the member account of one of those moderators. Again, we're going to fix that in the future so there won't be any confusion. Unless I or another moderator specifically says on the forum that a comment relates to "moderation" it should be considered just another comment from another member.

3. My armor used to be shiny, but now it has a lot of dents and dings from hostile arrows in Pickens County and a few rocks from Anderson County. I really should get it to the body shop soon.

4. You haven't said anything "vicious" today. I was talking in terms of that entire Cartergate/Creditgate/Travelgate crowd that isn't content to wait for the audit to play judge, jury and executioner before having Joey Preston and others drawn and quartered. I guess it's just the culture we live in, but I recall a former Secretary of Labor under Reagan named Raymond Donovan who faced a lot of vicious partisan charges that resulted in a trial. After he was exonerated, his first question was, "What office do I go to to reclaim my reputation?" We seem to have criminalized politics. That's vicious by anybody's definition.

5. Nick didn't "ban" anybody. He suspended their privileges for a week. Three of them returned, one didn't. One of the three who did return got banned again for making personal threats and for menacing other forum members. He remains the only one who is "banned" from Anderson Talkzone.

6. Don't be a stranger here. The rosters are set. The big debates are just beginning.

I have no idea, Citizen1. I seldom read profiles.

A-venter is a long-time member of the forum, but not an administrator or a moderator - although if he catches me on a bad day, he can have my magical secret powers and I'll be happy to be a member only. He'd be a good moderator/administrator for this forum - but that's not my call since (contrary to popular belief) nobody has "absolute" power here but our creator.

To date, no "administrative" actions has been taken by any one of the four without consultation with at least two of the others. That is as it should be. (Each "moderator" can remove posts immediately and issue an e-mail warning, but only an "administrator" can "ban" a member or delete a screen name.) 

I only ask because it came to my attention, several days ago, that a-venter joined Hankey's forum and hasn'r posted yet. I thought that to be unusual.

He's also listed as an ATZ administrator, in his profile, over there at Hankey's.

Why could you trust someone that, from all appearances, fraudulently claims to be a forum administrator?

How does a member get to list themselves as an administrator .. Is this easily done?

And as you know the little green dots make it pretty obvious who's on-line doing what. I don't envy you your position as moderator at all JD, I can sign off when ever I want, you on the other hand are charged with policing adults that act like children.

By the way, Blogger, that "little green dot" is liable to indicate than I'm online 24/7 some days, but that's because I have a terrible habit of forgetting to log off the forum. Like many others here, that means that often, with JDTippett, the lights are on, but nobody's home.

Citizen1, I know A-venter. I trust A-venter. Whatever happened there, I can assure you there's no "fraud" involved.

That reference to him as an "administrator" of a Lefora site is automatically put there by Lefora, as is the listing of other Lefora sites a screen name is registered on. I'd say it's a misunderstanding or, perhaps, a system glitch.

So why don't you 'check it out' and let me/us know why he is listed as an administrator when, apparently, he isn't.

I have checked it out, Ciizen1. A-venter is NOT an administrator or moderator for this site as of right now. Beyond that, I'm not going to check all 725 members' profiles for accuracy. This is the internet, for cryin' out loud, not the Spanish Inquisition.

Besides, I think Clemsonfan answered the question. A-venter is administrator of a different forum with a similar name. Case closed.

I think sometimes you can be on another Leflora site and get a green dot too. It always seems to be behind and have no rhyme or reason.

(I think A-vent is admin for a specific TZ forum Citizen, like any of us would be if we started one.

Look at the specific title.)

I believe it sez he is an Admin. of Anderson-Talk-Zone and NOT a specific forum and not a moderator.

And if he is an admin. (or moderator) of a specific ATZ forum then which one is it? I haven't seen any.

Now, how did CF and I figure out and you moderators couldn't? Guess we are more observant and deserve the gold star.   But there are a lot of moderators.
