I know that what I'm getting ready to post may seem trivial and sophmoric given these uncertain and somewhat tumultuous times,but here goes...
There are few if any adjectives that truly describe the depths of my loathing regarding....Billy Mays.Can someone propose a Constitutional Amendment that institutes the death penalty for any jackass salesman that insists on yelling at us through the TV? IS IT JUST ME?????

I heard a "chef" today selling miracle lids I would add to the list if I paid attention to his name. He was very excited about his product.

As an amendment to the Constitutional amendment proposed here,I would add that any commercial that gives the 1-800 number more than twice be banned from television. I swear if they were giving away stuff, I wouldn't take it from anything advertised that way.Also, if you buy a minute of ad time, make a minute long commercial.

P.S. Nicole,being able to hold one's breath for extended periods is a talent all its own,and not one to be denigrated.
Since this thread was created last fall, Billy Mays has died and the ShamWow guy got his tongue almost bitten off by a hooker in Miami. (He wasn't neutered, but if she'd waited a couple of minutes to attack ...)
No updates on the status of Jamie's opera career yet.
It's been a bad week for pitchemen/women. Ed McMahon and Budweiser/Publishers' Clearinghouse/Alpo, Michael Jackson and Pepsi, Farrah Fawcett and toothpaste/hair products/red bathing suits, and now Billy Mays and OxiClean.
Ron Popeil should be afraid, very, very afraid.
Guess we should be careful what we wish for here. Before it's all over, there may not be anybody left to sell anything. Of course, the way the economy is going, there may not be anybody left who can buy anything, either, so it's probably just bad Karma - or an unfortunate coincidence.
