Well I've not seen nor heard about this fella before today, and luckily so! His background is typical shaky and misleading as one would expect from the "tinfoils" to support. Someone who misrepresents hisself/herself/themselves, distorts facts and figures to twist the story, etc.
Kinda like the support for Tommy Dunn's campaign, only showing up during a rally and not seen since!
I guess his supporters showed up at the polls too! Not only did Tommy Dunn win, he crushed the incumbant! He got 80% of the vote in a three person race! Can you say "mandate" Wyatt?-non-sequitur
Nice spin, but . . .
Anyone else find it ironic that Skip decided to wait significantly longer that Michael to concede the race? Anyone else opt to ask why?

PS: Here is your hint - Remember I warned folks after June 10th about not knowing who they elected? Dunn is very progressive, if his track record in the community can be used as an indicator. Progressive and Dribble, Inc. don't exactly go together, do they?
What spin????? The facts speak for themselves. I did mis-speak and say a three man race. I should have said four man race.
The fact of the matter is... The overwhelming majority of voters were tired of Michael Thompson and his actions. They voted and elected the best man for the job. Again... Where is the spin?

Yawn Non Sequitter Whoo-hooo 80% of the 15% overall turnout. So that means he got a total of what.....300 votes?? Big Whoopie.
Michael decided early that this campaign wasn't worth the effort to make it a run-off. P*ssing into the winds of apathy and disgruntled Driver-followers really wouldn't motivate ME to run for a chicken-sh*t $10K a year either. Tom Dunn has clearly made known he holds no regard or care for Homeland Park. He insists there is no need to fund the fire department( some sort of personal issue with Centerville vs. HP), to meet with community groups, to direct Sheriff to increase patrols, or to be bothered with problems with old or poor people ( who didn't fund his campaign) in general.
Can you say CAMPAIGN PROMISES ain't worth the paper they're written on?
I know this thread is about district 2. But 2 things posted here need to be addressed.

Mr Gilmer had to wait until Thompson conceded before the option fell to him in the runoff. The runoff was between Thompson and Dunn. Only when Thompson conceded did the option go to Mr Gilmer. BTW I have talked with Mr. Gilmer. He supports Tommy Dunn!

80% of the people who cared to vote, voted for Dunn. That is all that needs to be said. If HP folks cared so much for Thompson, why wasn't the turnout larger or his vote count larger? I guess folks throughout the entire district did not want another term from Thompson.
I may have missed one vote in the past years.
Now it's just deciding WHO to vote for.
The one with the most signs? or the one with the prettiest signs?

Merrymac
Pretty signs would indicate someone with a taste for art or an eye for beauty. Or would BOLD clashing colors to get attention show a smart businessman. You know it does matter right down to the tinest detail.
I am making fun , but I do want everyone to come out and cast your OPINION (VOTE)
Just to toss my thoughts on the lower turnout for primaries... I just think primaries are just as important as the regular election. Some lost their chance to run after the primaries. some good people may have been left behind.

She alsoa problem with the elections, people are so stupid they listen to dribbling ,racist, bigot morans.
Queen, If I may be so bold, you are most probably looking at voter turnout in a primary. A primary is not an election--as you must know, it is a party nominating process. I've heard this low voter turnout tossed around a lot. I haven't yet checked figures but I plan to. In a primary only the party base should turn out to vote. At least that's the way I understand it would work if we had registration by party. In South Carolina, a voter chooses the party's primary in which he wishes to participate on primary voting day. Many are eager to change to voter registration by party. Therefore if you registered as an Independent, you could not vote in the Republican primary or the Democrat primary (unless you changed your registration before going to vote). I would think this year there will be a high voter turn out somewhere around 75-80%. This is for the General Election.A-venter, always for for the prettiest signs.

Point noted, Merrymac - you are quite correct on the primary stats. I hope turnout will be as high as you predict!
If any of the voters in Dist. 2 have more than a gram of intelligence they will vote for Bill Holder. Obviously, some of you have never been to a council meeting when Bill spoke...very informative and knowledgeable. Bill is a gentleman and you cannot truthfully say that Gracie is a lady. Bill is not a know-it-all arragant person as Gracie is. Bill has the county at heart and Gracie has Gracie at heart. Gracie repeats what King Joe tells her so say.
Continue blasting the Rick Driver show all you want, but Rick and his show are responsible for a large number of voters gaining the knowledge they needed to see through the smoke and mirrors of Preston and his Gang of Five.
If the voters in Dist. 2 are informed they will kick Gracie out like we kicked out Bill McAbee, Larry Greer and Michael Thompson.
If any of the voters in Dist. 2 have more than a gram of intelligence . . .-prevail
Mister Wilson,
Somehow, I don't even think you meet your own criteria.
