Thanks, Ed, from all of us. You'll have to remind me of when I've had to keep you straight though. More often than not, we're both off on the same tangent and PAPPY has to slap us down.  

By the way, I sent a feller down your way who's interested in buying a couple of those thoroughbred mules you have. Don't sell him any of your breeding stock, though. I don't think he knows his hinny from his hiney yet.

Could not have said it any better. Call them like you see em and lets all just get along.

I will back up the rule keepers anyday of the week.

I respect the rules, whether written into law or house rules. without rules there is kaos (sp) and from what I hear no-one is squelching anyones freedom of speach, just asking everyone to be a bit respectful in how it's said.

I have always respected the four that have been appointed. Fine examples of debating and frendship after are examples they set.

Really C-1, yours is the kind of posting most of us would consider inappropriate or unacceptable.  Ed was trying to help you out in understanding the role of moderators.   Get the chip off your shoulder.  By the way you can consider this a warning from Merrymac.

'Diplomat Ed' butts into hot disputes, presuming that the combatants will welcome and appreciate his even-handed and eminently reasonable mediation. Frankly, Ed gets what he deserves.

Ed doesn't count very well. What happened to the other two moderators?

Citizen1;  I did not butt into your dispute.  I started a new thread about an issue that seems to beg discussion.  I did not call you a latrine lawyer, but if you think you are and you recognize yourself,  congratulations on your perceptniveness.  Now I asked you once to not go into the name calling with me.  But if you feel it makes you look smart and me not too smart, who am I to argue?

Citizen1:  please read my post at the beginning of this thread.  It is "Hey Folks."  And "you" is used in a general sense.  If that, along with the term "Latrine Lawyer"made you uncomfortable, you must be feeling guilty about something, huh? 

Nowhere in the post did I mention any name except the 4 moderators that I know about. 

Oh, and as for the moderators, allow me to say they have a great deal of patience with you.  A damn sight more than most people would have....

JD, calling Citizen, Wrongboy was definitely neutral.  Good job. 

Pappy, you seem to be posting a good bit to thank anyone for their support, are you running for something? They are the people who always keep a brown nose without ever going out in the sun.  You welcomed me with open arms because you are unbiased and open to all opinions, right?

 And it seems like a lot of people are just logging on to plus and minus without saying anything.  Wonder why?
