Boy what an interesting night Surprised  First of all I must  explain why I back Mr.Preston. For the past few years all I have heard from a certain group is that Joey Preston is doing this and doing that. This group keeps telling us that the audits are wrong( which I might add is not done by anyone in the county)As I said last night until you show me proof of any wrong doing in black & white,I will continue to back Mr.Preston. If I believed everything I have heard I would be locked in a padded room thinking the sky is purple & aliens are living among us.

Now onto the idiots who were there last night.... All I can say to Rick Freemantle and his Driver show morans is: If you have something to say to me say it to my face Yell This group had said some very nasty smart a@# comments to say as I walking back to my seat after I spoke to the council. If these guys actually think they are so big and bad I would of met with them and we could of "discussed" what ever they found so offensive. These 3 clowns sat there making all kinds of noise and smart (or should I say dumba##) comments all night. After watching these clowns act like 2 yr olds I now know why we have the problems we have.  We did almost have a fight in the hallway though..Channel 7 news asked to interview me in the hallway and as that was going on one of the drivel radio groupies decided to stand behind a few people who knew me and started calling me names and again being RUDE, When one of the gentleman asked him to please be polite he shoved him and tried to call him into the stairwell. When they would not go this guy comes back up and tried to start again. Part of this was caught on channel 12 camera. Needless to say Ole Sullivan was escorted from the building.  Stayed tuned for the next filming of the X-Files in  a few weeks Laughing....

Call them and tell them to post!!!!! Anyone who knows me will tell you I have no problems with telling people what I think of them. Unlike them I tell people to their face instead of hiding like they do...

Nice to know the Three Stooges continue to attend political events. It's also nice to know that while being 65+, they act like they are 5. It's truly a shame that old men can't learn to act their age. I guess what they say is true ... you CAN'T teach an old dog new tricks.

The CAVE came out to get a show. Silly CAVE people, shows are for TV.

PS - Nice comments last night.

Mr. Hankey's hit the nail on the head.  That's how Cindy and her minions have taken over the Republican party through total intimidation.  They claim to have taken down the county and the state is next.  The officers in the ACRP are afraid to open their mouths to object to the likes of Crowe, Harvell West Freemantle and a host of others who run roughshod over legitimate Republican candidates and push their Libertarian ilk off as true Republicans.  I know I'm embarrassed by their actions.  I may not be a Republican much longer.

As a good friend of mine told me recently . . .

"Real Republicans in Anderson County are being forced into the local Democratic Party. While we differ dramatically on national and even state issues, locally we are one."

I hate to say it, but he is right. I would advocate the following:

1.) Cease and desist ANY monetary contributions to the ACRP. If you want a bumper sticker or a campaign sign for a state or national Republican, either use the SCGOP in Columbia or another nearby GOP Office. I have - and it works well.

2.) Fund the Anderson County Democratic Party (ACDP?). Specify that your donations should only be used for local races and not funneled up to state or even the DNC. Having talked with a few active members with the local Democratic party, I don't believe that such a stipulation would be an issue. Not to mention, the bulk of ACRP fund-raisers were alienated by the June 10th primary. Remember - it's ok to flip-flop ... ask Rip van Waldrep.

It is time . . .

Here is why I have aproblem with Cindy Wilson. She is always saying she is trying to spend the taxpayers money correctly. Well Ms.Wilson & her merry band have ended up costing us (the taxpayers) $502,155.59 in legal fees since January 2001. Last night at the council meeting someone handed out this paper that they got thru the Freedom Of Information Act. It reads ;

The above quote is a bunch of crap, and right out of the Preston playbook.  I could careless if Joey Preston stays or goes, but to attribute that money to Cindy Wilson is pathetic.  Joey Preston has an open checkbook to sue anyone he wants for any reason.  And you and I pay for it.

Cindy is not perfect, actually she is far from it.  But she at least asks questions.  No one else in the puppet show asks anything.  They just nod their heads.  That is why Larry Greer, Bill McAbee and Michael Thompson are going home in January (thank God).

If Preston did his job and the council did their job, we wouldn't have the bad roads, or the high taxes we pay.

But before you get on the legal fee bandwagon, do a little research rather than drinking the coolaid made in the old historic courthouse.

Are you using a county computer today?

First of all, you ain't no republican.  You have never given one dime to the republican party.  You have democrat signs in your yard.  Let's face it, your candidates lose everytime.

Name one candidate that you have supported that won?  If I remember correctly you were for MacKay (loser), Hooper (loser), Michael Thompson (loser) and Larry Greer (loser).  Hmmmm..... Do you see a pattern?  I do.

It's funny to see who you think I am. You're just as clueless and hapless as that baseball team you support. Oh ... how was post-season play this year? Oh that’s right, you didn't get to experience it. Tragic.

So ... where to begin ...

"ain't no republican" - Ok, first and foremost lets address your use, or more to the point, lack of understanding when it comes to the English Language. The sentence would be better worded as "You are no Republican, sir." However, that requires listening ... something for which you have demonstrated in the past as being incapable of doing (i.e. - heckling, making rude noises, failure to act your age, etc etc).

Now, as for the charge of not being a Republican, that would be a falsehood. Having worked on Republican campaigns both here in Anderson and elsewhere in the state, I am most definitely an (R). Ever attended a Silver Elephant dinner? I know I have. Worked for fellow Republicans? I know I have.

As for giving a dime to the Republican Party, I've done that too. So you would ask have I given to the Republican Party in Anderson? That answer is no. I can NOT support a local party - a party that touts open and honest government - yet seeks to hide its executive committee and what said executive committee does. That sir is ANYTHING BUT OPEN or HONEST.

That is why I have reluctantly called for moderate and traditional conservative Republicans to pull out and become Blue Dogs: Conservative Democrats that fund and support fellow conservatives for office.

The ACRP is a farce that is over-run by libertarians who have chosen to glom onto the GOP because their libertarian views and ideals never received traction when they were properly identified. You should really take a hint: Don't steal the brand of another group just because what you are selling ISN'T selling. Any other corner of the state, the leadership that comprises the ACRP would be laughed at and run out on a rail for NOT BEING REAL REPUBLICANS.

Now, if you are done coughing, hacking, plugging your ears, and in general acting like a spoiled five year old, the adults in this community are going to move on, and run the likes of you out.

I expect to see a LOT of faces at Democratic HQs on Main Street shortly.

High Taxes???????????
Excuse me while I pick myself off the floor.

MR. Hankey, you wanna weigh in on this? Being a Yankee and all, I'll bet he has seen what real "High Taxes" are.

You don't know how good you have it here in Anderson?

OMG - My sides hurt.

I trust that you are referring to yours truly :)
You are absolutely correct in your analysis.

If the fiscal republicans in the county stoppped giving money, Cindy, Bob, Charles, and the rest of their ilk would wither politically.
I find it ironic that people like Mary and Bill McAbee (with whom I DO NOT agree most of the time) are forced out of the party they fund.
Apparently, the Cindyphytes of this county have never heard the maxim about 'biting the hand that feeds'.

If you republicans out there stopped giving money to these bozos they'd go away, probably more quickly than you think. If you gave that same money to cultivate local democratic candidates, they'd go away twice as fast.

And Yankeefan I'll leave you with a quote from a good republican:
"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt." - Abraham Lincoln

You have removed all doubt

Speaking of money, I just saw on the WYFF web site where the national republican party spent $150,000 on Sarah Palin's "image" including I believe I read $75K on clothes from Neiman Marcus.

In fact Jack, allow me to take this a step farther . . .

Just who are the Official Blue Dogs?
http://www.house.gov/ross/BlueDogs/Member%20Page.html

Take a LONG look at that list of friendly conservative members of Congress. If ANY of those documented Conservative Dems were here in Anderson County, they would be branded as ultra-liberal whack-jobs and not worthy of your vote.

Now, while looking at these folks, take note as to where they hail from. Most of these folks are either from The South or from out West somewhere. You are looking at the historical group that helped Reagan for eight years. You are looking at the historical group that worked with Republicans and the Contract For America. You are looking at folks, who for 19 years, are consistantly fiscally conservative.

For all of those in Anderson that preach fiscal prudence, yet want nothing to do with the fringe that has taken over the ACRP, YOU HAVE AN ALTERNATIVE.

The time to act is now!

A few points

Pick (a) Rick Driver has no audienece (b) The Rick Driver "hate group" is the majority and rules. You people can't have it both ways

Pick (a) MCW & MBW were singled out by JP in the law suit (b) Gracie needs to be added to it as she gave instruction to a couple emloyees last night and has the litter guys and AC going all over at her personal request. You can't have it both ways

Pick (a) MCW is the root of all Joey's problems and she and MBW have ruined his ability to function as the Administrator (b) JP has the majority vote 90% of the time and he has pretty much run the county in spite of the efforts of MCW & MBW. You can't keep contradicting yourselves and be taken seriously.

Pick (a) everyone can be rude and heckle in the crowd (b) no one should resort to such childish means as name calling, etc...................... it ain't right for you but not for someone else. Come on, be consistent

Pick (a) JP really thought he was terminated (b) it was a slick legal move----you don't think you are terminated and show up for work each day, you leave. you can't have it both ways.

Wow Angel1 got information from JP that most CC members can't or it was leaked form the administration ---- again, ya can't have it both ways. Can you  get the rest of the law suits? How about how much the county paid for Gracies Animal Ordinance? I know there are some sex harassment suits that have been filed and paid off, can you get those costs too? You really are part of the in crowd. Internal case numbers and all, now that was a leak.
