That's great JD--How did you do that????

-merrymacsc

It was certainly Photoshopped, Merrymacsc, but not by me. Probably by some college student with time on his hands. To my knowledge, there is no copyright on it. At least, I couldn't locate one. If anybody thinks otherwise, please let us know and I'll be glad to attribute it to its creator.

G-Pap, I agree with you that Rush went over the line with that one (although I don't recall that happening.) I also thought Saturday Night Live went over the line during the Clinton presidency with that skit about Clinton's birthday and the Marilyn Monroe lookalike singing "Happy Birthday" to him while an actress portraying Chelsea sat nearby.

Children of elected officials and candidates - at least, those children under the age of 18 - should be off-limits. Of course, that obviously didn't apply to Bristol Palin, did it?

Is Obama's plan of taxing the rich an example of doing the right job? When you tax the rich and give breaks to the middle class, you put an extra $500-$1000 in the pocket of the middle class worker, while increasing expenses to the rich corporations.(the Obama way) That causes the rich to increase costs, which is ultimately paid for by the middle class/consumer (there goes our $500-$1000). When you give a tax break to the rich, you free up a few 30-50k /yr. jobs for the middle class. I'm middle class. I'll take a 50k/yr. job from a rich corporation over a $1000 check from the government any day. If you're going to vote for Obama, at least make sure he's doing the right job, and he is not.

whip your but with that.

Nicely put Mr. Hankey.  If there had to be one reason that I would vote McCain, this is it.  When I speak with someone about the candidates and why I prefer McCain over Obama, this is the point I make.

And straight out of this weeks Democratic Newsletter/Intructions, the reply to your posts was all about Palin and her "supposed" inexperience.  This would be the same instructions that have been given to all media over the last few weeks.  And there are just enough "inexperienced/uninformed" voters out there to fall for it and will be the downfall of the McCain/Palin campaign.

I have never seen the media be so sexists and get away with it 100%.  Does anyone honestly beleive that if Palin were a man that they would be saying the same things?

TS, Palin supporters have been just as sexist.  "OOh yeah, she'll get my vote, she's hot."  Kennedy got some vote for his looks, but it was given a positive spin.

On the other hand, a man that unqualified would never have been nominated.  I try to support all women, but she makes it tough as I have little respect for her so far.  Unfortunately, we have two choices and I find McCain/Palin the lesser of two evils.

Confused, that is exactly what I was about to say (well other than the last sentence).

I'm emailing you now with directions.

If I could only give one reason not to vote for McCain, It would be that his "Economic Plan" is to give tax breaks to large corporations while taxing the workers healthcare benefits. Healthcare costs enough already. In return , McCain wants to give the workers $5000 towards their healthcare but that doesnt even cover half of the cost. Also, how does it make sense to have another president who will give tax breaks to large corporations such as the oil companies instead of giving it to the working class people who deserve a break?

As far as sexists remarks toward Palin, I dont think its sexist at all. At McCains age, I think he should have picked a VP with more experience. My personal opinion is that McCains reason in picking her was sexist. He chose Sarah Palin because she is a woman~ not for her qualifications. McCain honestly believes that he will get female voters by choosing a female VP.

Say what??????????  If the dems had voted for the most qualified I think Gov Richardson of NM would have been the 1st choice.  He said it himself.  Also said (indirectly) he didn't have the "super star" appeal.

Barack Obama has more experience in his little finger than Palin has in her whole body. The only comments the woman can make to get the crowd excited is about lipstick and pigs.

Yes Merry I am familar with the program and the women involved with it, one of my dearest friends in the world is very activly involved. And bravo to them for ZERO pregnancies this last year, did you know more than one of the graduates of that program will be the first in their family to graduate high school. It is an excellent program that teaches girls that there is more to life than starting a family in high school. I think it succeeds because it teaches those young ladies self sufficiency. It's interesting that you picked out that one point to comment on when so many of the others hit the nail on the head. I had actually commented to a friend last week that the same things Obama was being criticized for are the same things Palin is being praised for.

I'm still not sure what to think of confused after she made those bogus claims against me, but I gotta give credit where it's due.

That's a pretty cool diss right there.
