Hey Pappy! The president-elect of change is bringing back all the Clinton people. I'm wondering if they'll bring back all the silverware, sheets and stuff they left with last time?
Just percs that came with the job.

Everything the Clintons took from the White House was theirs to take , because it all was monogrammed for them. So why would you leave silverware , sheets, pillow cases and items that was monogrammed with their initals. Would you have us to believe tha you would have them bring back those items for the next President and Family to use ??? Why don't you engage you Brain before you speek or write such stupid things.[image]

I think the point is that Obama is bringing back all the old Clinton hacks, thus putting the Clinton stamp back in the White House. Therefore, why not the silverware, pillow cases and sheets? Have a sense of humor for crying out loud. Seems some of you Clinton folks are way too sensitive. Oddly, you showed NONE of that sensitivity towards Sarah Palin.

Nor her toward turkeys.[image]-pappy
Hey, she's always been nice to me. ;-)
Actually (our should I say "also") that clip shows she is really out there with the people. Unlike Mr. Obama who is so structured, protected and out of touch. How do you think turkeys get into those plastic wrappers ?

Sarah WHO ??FOX News of all places reported that inside the McCain campaign there was frustration that Sarah Palin didn't have enough general knowledge.
That seemed like an understatement to me when they went on to report that she literally didn't know that Africa was a continent!

Actually, FOX NEWS reported that "unnamed sources in the McCain campaign" made those claims. The McCain Campaign Manager later told FOX NEWS that those annon-ass claims were totally distorted and taken out of context. Besides, everybody knows that Alaska and Antarctia are only a few degress apart - on the cold as ice scale.
Republikin, this whole Palin-phobia thing just amazes me. The left is terrified that she's going to run for national office again, so they have to destroy her any way they can. Pitiful, I tell ya, pitiful. If they're so scared of one woman from Alaska, how can they be expected to protect us from REAL threats in the future?
By the way, the recurring joke that she said she can "... see Russia from my house" is a good example. She never said that. Tina Fey said that on Saturday Night Live, but no lie is too outrageous for the lefties to use in their ongoing politics of personal destruction, I guess.
I love politics, but I do with at the national level - and at the local level - those who play would, at the very least, occasionally put some element of truth to their posts.
That's my idea of a "Fairness Doctrine." I don't care which side you're on or what you say, as long as it is arguably true and not an outright lie or a total distortion of the truth.

However, JD, she did say to Couric, when asked to explain why living near Russia enhances her foreign policy credentials, the following: " Well, it certainly does because our — our next-door neighbors are foreign countries. They’re in the state that I am the executive of.”-pappy
Yeah, well, Obama said he had campaigned in all 57 states, and he's going to be the next President of those 57 United States. What's your point?
Besides, I hear people who seem to have some reasonble level of intelligence refer to jobs bein transferred to Mexico as "jobs going overseas." Now, I don't know about when you were in school, but when I studied geography, the Rio Grande River was NOT an ocean or a sea. It's a ... hmmm ... it's a RIVER. So, technically, Mexico is a "foreign" country to Americans, but IT ISN'T OVERSEAS.
Petunia, Lee Atwater had the decency to apologize shortly before he died for being so ruthless, although I would contend there was an element of truth to what he said politically. (I knew Lee, by the way. His reputation and his real character are wildly different creatures.)
As for Karl Rove, I've always found him to be a straight shooter. You may not LIKE what he has to say (I don't like listening to Lanny Davis, either, but I've never caught him in a lie), but he doesn't fabricate things to use against political opponents.
There is a huge difference between "spinning" the facts and "making up" the facts.

That being said, she was not an appropriate running mate unless the intent was to throw her into the limelight.Yeah, well, Obama said he had campaigned in all 57 states, and he's going to be the next President of those 57 United States. What's your point? [image]

Well, it does show she is out there with more dead turkeys than people..Just stay away from the Wasilla turkey farm. I'd hate to see you wrapped in plastic.[image]-pappy
Hey, Pappy, if you saw me wrapped in plastic you'd never go home to wifie.
