You would think his advisors would know better. You would think the candidate would know what area he wishes to represent.
Now - let us discuss the geographic disposition of Dr. Meador's campaign headquarters. Ever stop to think that it might have been the most viable location for conducting operations? WSPA has its Anderson Offices just across the street. In addition, the ability to register voters during all of the Downtown Sounds events as well as easily mingle with the crowds is BRILLIANT.
As for Kevin "Where Is The City of Anderson" Bryant . . .
As an individual that is running for RE-ELECTION (meaning, for those of you in Honea Path, he did this once before), he should know the following:
1.) Where the City of Anderson IS.
2.) The sign ordinances and regulations that are pertinent to the City of Anderson in relation to political campaigns.
3.) How to properly communicate item #1 and item #2 to his campaign staff.
So ... by having Kevin's campaign DISREGARD those rules and regulations spell out the following:
1.) Total disregard for the laws of the City of Anderson (for which his business resides within - hmmm).
2.) Abject stupidity for the lay of the land in Anderson (spending a little too much time at the SC Policy Council Offices in COLUMBIA, Senator?).
3.) Complete and total inability to be an effective communicator to his staff about the rule of law of the land (not unlike his INABILITY to build EFFECTIVE COALITIONS to MOVE and PASS REAL LEGISLATION).

First of all SSHM, Meadors has signs all over the City of Anderson as well. Supporters get signs and they put them in their yards. It happens, regardless if you tell them to wait. Ask Steve Kay, he has one at his house down by the Bailes building. Go down Edgewood Avenue across from the old adult ed building, there are Meadors and Dobbins signs in the yard. Dobbins doesn't even represent that area. So it happens on both sides. Big Deal. The ordinance is archaic and destroys the first amendment.
Anyway, Meadors has committed a bad mistake by having his HQ outside the district. That would be like Mark Sanford having his Campaign HQ in Charlotte because a lot of people from Rock Hill go Charlotte. That was a boneheaded analogy you gave.
Nevertheless, did Marshall even know he was not in his district? I doubt it. Love the billboards by the way. Pointing and laughing at someone's "x-ray" I guess. It's hard to believe he is actually paying someone to run his campaign. Somewhat of a amateur campaign if you ask me.

Now, SSHM, what is the dig about Honea Path???? I am from Honea Path, too, and I sure know the definition of the word reelection. Are you trying to irritate those of us in what you appear to consider the hinterlands? Because I assure you, we do know how to read, wear shoes, and have indoor plumbing.

The dig is quite simply this:
Honea-Path should have exploded with industry, even while the traditional mills were closing. There is so much infrastructure existing in HP, it boggles my mind that the area's ONLY represenative on County Council can't seem to comprehend this, let alone find a way to harness the sleeping bear that is HP (not a play on words or the mascot of the local high school, either).
I suppose after eight years and three chances to make things right (elections), one would have hoped that the locals would have sent someone to Anderson to right the ship rather than fling stones and sticks at market conditions beyond all of our controls.
That's the dig ... oh and South Carolina lacks Rio Linda too.

You must know something I don't then beacuse . . .
http://www.realtor.com/
A "29654" search with "2br" as the only filter yielded a scant 63 properties, of which none were really appealing. As for a "two-lane only," you also have a bypass that allows the residents of HP to NOT have to trek through downtown Belton, should they so choose to do so.
Get some industry going in HP. Certainly HP has more to contribute to the county and history of Anderson than just the Honea-Path Massacre and Olin D. Johnston.

Anybody have any idea why this post was buried? Right or wrong, it seems innocent enough.

Olin D. Johnston. Now THERE'S a name from the past with a lot of good history. Actually, I believe ol' Olin was born in the suburbs of Honea Path
and not in the city itself.
I know little of the Honea Path Massacre, although some of us from Daniel got the stuffings beaten out of us in that neck of the woods after a football game there many moons ago.

But at least it gives me something to do while I'm scrolling posts, is to UNBURY and read the posts. Kinda like telling a child don't touch that. Curiousity emerges and NATURALLY I want to see whats hidden behind door #3.
The more a POST IS NEGATIVELY POSTED, THE MORE i READ OF THAT CHARACTER'S MESSAGE. Kind of like listening to McPalin's messages.....all negative and yet drawn to the flame like a moth!
Same here, only I get one shot at a positive per message. Guess I need to use some of my alter-ego screen names to keep up eh?
BTW, gave ya one for good measure buddy:)
Might as well, Wyatt. There's a lot of it going around lately.
BTW, I returned the favor, despite the "Bush lied, soldiers died" BS.
Queen, Stupid does indeed have a real aversion to country folks. If he had his way, i think the city limit6s of Andetrson would be the county limits too. Plus, he just doesn't understand the people out in thehinterlands. They don't want to see Anderson County and its budget grow until they are convinced that the revenues generated by that growth aren't being stolen. So they keep sending Cindy back up there to keep an eye on that bunch of crooks.Like it or not, that's how those hicks see it, and Stupid just can't believe they can't outwit thopse yokels and get somebody else elected. Hey now, gotta print it as I see it. Besides, I had a better quote for a signature, but already am the belle of the ball here and didn't want the cross burners coming out in force!
Well, we are the ONLY community in the county with only a two-lane into Anderson. This is called a state issue - and Cindy cannot make a four-lane appear. The highway connector to 25 & the interstate is also -- two lanes!! Now if you want to move down this way and try to run and change things, there are plenty of realtors available. Hey - Cindy is in real estate too!!! [image]-the-queen
Hmmm, speaking of two lane roadways leading into "rome"....seems 29 N from DMV all the way to the Williamston turnoff, or from 153/Pickens/Easley, or from Clemson/Seneca or even from Columbia are ALL two lane roads. maybe they just don't want us found......

Aw, bring 'em on, Wyatt. It might be one of the few times I'll stand shoulder to shoulder with you while we BOTH fire until we run out of ammo. And I have lots of ammo.
Isn't it wonderful - a blog site where we in this wonderful county can have such a good time comparing notes and disagreeing but still having a blast> JD, you are my #1 (other than Marine...) and I also adore the ponytailed boy from Homeland Park! You are both good guys!
I still want McCain.
fer pres, that is. Don't go making nuthing dirty out of that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am old, anyhow! AARP members should not be subject to even having our double entendres thought as doubles!
"double entendre"..
is that similar to a 'double chin '?
