Lee, Thomas Jefferson said in 1788 "The whole art of government consists in being honest."
This quote and the one you gave certainly apply to this county!

In your discription of Charles Wilson and Rick FReemantle you left out one very important fact,Both are COWARDS and the only time you will hear them run their mouths is when they are in a safe environment, and never face to face with another man. Both are losers ,like their hero, the other mouth of the south and coward Rick Driver.

Rino, I can't speak for Charles wilson, but while Rick Freemantle may be a bit of a bomb thrower, he will tell anyone what he thinks and he will tell them to their face. I've seen him do it a number of times, including at the Ron Wilson love fest that Dan cooper and FreddieZink passed off as the stump meeting over in Powdersville this spring. Freemantle was certainly behind enemy lines that day, and he stood right there and asked Wilson about his daughter's consulting contract with the county as well as a couple of other things. so you're mistaken about Freemantle. He frankly doesn't care what anyone thinks of him, and he is not initmidated. IMHO, of course.

How much does the Times Examiner pay Rick Freemantle (or any of its Anderson County beat reporters) for their articles? And what ever happened to Nancy J. Collins? I am profoundly sad that I never got to meet her in person.

I'm not sure that's public information, Deepthroat, any more than it's public information what the pay scale is at the AIM or any other private-sector business (or even wherever it is you work, unless, of course, you work for the gub-mint).
All reporters get paid ('cept maybe ol' JD sometimes), but is there any reason anybody needs to know how much?

My point is that neither Rick, nor Crowe, nor Bennie Sue, nor Harvell or any of the rest of those journalist impersonators are reporters at all. The "real" Taxpayers Association or their benefactors purchase ad space in the Times Examiner. So technically they are ad copywriters and not reporters at all. However, they have all called unsuspecting sources and posed as journalists in the past. That's a bit unscrupulous, don't you think?

I do not think Freemantle nor Driver is a coward. They may avoid certain bombthrowers. That does not make them cowards.
And my name is Ed Evans and I approve this message.

deep, you would like Nancy Collins. Great legs, long hair, lists to the right when she walks, but a nice swing, you know?

Ellie, lack of education or experience didn't keep Williamston from hiring their town administrator, at least according to the latest issue of the Journal. It sure hasn't kept Joey's lady friend from moving right up the ladder, or Heather Jones' husband, either, for that matter.

SSHM, eight of the ten you listed to start this little party are indeed employed. Several own their own businesses, and the other two are retired.

Last I heard, Nancy J. Collins skipped town after having an abortion and threatening to kill her lover...

Plumbbob,
You're right the administrator that Williamston just decided to hire doesn't have formal liberal public administrative education. She does have a lot of education on the private sector which will be a much needed breath of fresh air in Williamston politics. I wonder how many individuals in Anderson County administration have experience in the private sector...

Mr. Cole, you, as much as anyone, should know that public administration isa specific field in these times.Refusing to acknowledge that administering a town, anytown, or county for that matter, is a professional undertaking requiring training and specific education simply insures that the government in Williamston will continue to be amateurish and fraught with back room deals (can you say Middleton and mulch) and personal vendettas in place of progress.
A breath of fresh air? The candidate hired is completely allied with the Crout/Middleton faction in the town's government. That's why she was hired. The only thing her hiring accomplishes is to guarantee years more of the squabbling and double crossing politics that keeps an otherwise nice little town from getting anywhere.

andy, if you really knew who Nancy J. Collins is, you would know how completely you just exposed yourself as an ignorant, uninformed teller of lies and spreader of absolutely unfounded and vicious rumors.Of all your stupid posts inthe past, this one is absolutely number one.

So who is Nancy J. Collins plumbbob? She must be an accomplished journalist with impeccable media credentials, as the Times Examiner only "hires" the finest "reporters".
