Anderson's Animals
Normally I don't think the "thumb" wars around here are a big deal, but I can't imagine why anyone would have thumbed down angel's post.
If it is ok with you angel, I'd like to repost that as a bulletin on the anderson sc myspace profile, since I've been advertising for those low lifes on there. I'll be paying them a visit in the morning.
I'm so bloody angry right now....................-scratchy
You may post it on any site you wish. I hate the idea of ANY animal being abused. The manager was also there and could care less.
I went ahead and posted it anyway and got quite a few responses and re-posts. Shouldn't take long for word to get around.
JD,
Your friendly Warm & Fuzzy President re-upped Angel's post about the Tractor Supply incident.
WHY anyone would purposely "down" that kind of public information is beyond me. But we felt it important to not put your kids through the trauma of having a baby chick die the horrible death of resperatory failure on Easter.
Scratchy,
Certainly appreciate your attaching this to other sites. ![]()
We stopped at Tractor Supply on Clemson Blvd today,I must say that store needs to learn a lesson on treatment of animals. As we all know Easter is Sunday and a lot of parents think its cool to buy their rugrats baby chicks or ducklings.( A warning to all,) When I walked over by the chicks I noticed that most of them were not moving. Needless to say they had died, as if thats not bad enough I was trying to move the few live ones away from the poor babies who died a needless death. While doing that 2 more died. The kicker is the staff told me they were just cold and thats why they died. hate to tell them chicks that are cold DO NOT bleed from their mouths and bottoms. The snot of a lady walks over with a plastic bag and starts throwing ALL the chicks in it. I say everyone needs to boycott that store as they only sell this babies during Easter. No city animal control wont do anything about it. - angelsc
You're talking about this post from the previous page, Wyatt? That's cool. Maybe everybody will get a chance to read it before it gets hidden.
Yes sir I was.
While TS is a great store, having lots of items which one has a hard time finding, the dead animal deal really hits hard with the Warm & fuzzy crowd. Something about having a heart, feeling for those who have no voices, all that crap.
Appreciate the reboot!![]()

No problem.
So.....
Has anyone heard any more about the shelter?
Are we going to play blackmail with the shelter land?
Why are we not pursuing other venues for this place instead of allowing thousands of animals a month to die without a L/C spay clinic or better showroom for them?
Yeah the Glenn's are donating the land and the contract will be renegotiated. Why do you ask?
Just that doing business with the DickyD crowd is bad mojo.

So the Glenns are DickyD people and yet they offered to donate the land during the Prestonian times? How odd. LOL you goober
The Husband donated the land, without the knowledge of the wife. She was shocked at the announcement in that meeting ( we were sitting three chairs from her amazed look on her face when the announcement was made).
But now she panders to the far-right wingers, and pulled the donation till her "demands" to fire "people" were met.
As of this moment, the land survey has yet to be done, no grading work, no nothing done, not even a signed contract. She's the one sticking little duckies on the daias and calling DickyD's radio show NOW.
Just as a follow-up, I'm not the only one who noticed the game Glenn was playing:
During several council meetings, citizens brought plastic ducks, a habit that peaked when five council members sat through an entire meeting with rubber duckies next to their nametags.
The ducks are an inside joke at the expense of council member Gracie Floyd, who has said: “if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it’s a duck.”
About a dozen or more citizens routinely quack loudly when Floyd talks and during at least two meetings Carol Glenn (who collected the ducks from their perch beside council member’s nametags, but denied knowing about the ducks) brought a plastic duck whistle she blew when Floyd talked.

I love Mrs. Glenn!
She's so sweet!
Do'nt ya just love it!
Only if your a schoolyard bully or have the mind of a 2 year old.
Oh yeah, bless her little heart! Surely she sleeps quite well at night, while 250 animals a week are put to death waiting on her little game of task-the-council!

Do the math Wyatt1sc
Do you feel that at 250/week over 1000/ month
could be adopted????????
NO way!!!!!!!
Or do some feel that we can feed and care for these 1000/month, 12,000/ year for ever??????????
For one thing with the new shelter there will be a low cost spay/neuter program. In case you dont know what that is,let me explain. That is when a vet surgically removes the reproductive parts. That means less babies.....

I know what that is,
I have pointed out at council meeting that a traveling vet
Will fix a male on site for about &20-$25
And fix a female at office for $40- $60
I wonder if our new clinic can do it for that?
Of course these guy do it for a profit!
Our county Vet's will be doing it with tax dollars!
