First off, it is a TOS violation to be using personal names and posting such information online Nicole. Clearly you should be aware of that. Addressing specific blog threads to an individual is also a TOS violation. Just FYI.
I know all about "rants and flames". Have heard endlessly about that non-politics stuff from folks like Mary Wilson and other things which made politics even more present in this issue. I won't get all into that aspect either, as this is to address the issue of animals and not the interpersonal workings of relationships and politics. I beg to differ with your assessment of whom you "badmouthed" about support. But thats neither here nor there in respect to our support of YOUR effort to address the animal holding facility. We've never "dissed" the project, just your mishandling of the matter . Saying we're saboutaging your efforts is clearly another misinformation being posted here. We posted what was said and what DIDN'T transpire as stated. After three months, still no call from our "staunch supporter Cindy Wilson" or Bob Waldrep. They may have responded to you, but we're not on their "top 5 list" either.
But besides that, No "Doreen" didn't advocate specifically for the large animal portion Nicole, she advocated for the SHELTER, PERIOD. She has been a strong advocate for a better environment for 1/2 a decade & her involvement goes back more than 5 years with documentation, petitions and photo-presentation to Council about the Jockey Lot animal sales. Her information was part of the presentation made to make adjustments to legislation lacking about large animal laws and small animal sales. THAT was our catalyst for becoming involved. Her discussions with Gracie Floyd, Michael Thompson, Joey Preston, Environmental Enforcement Division and TWO previous Shelter managers( Dorothy Strewing and Rick) before speaking with Michele Dodd, led to our involvement and support for this matter as a whole. The undoubted 'suggestion' you refer to was likely from us to begin with. We are already aware that incoming Council will be as helpful and supportive as a boil on the behind, and while it seems to be a done deal with the shelter it always amazes me at how the Council can f*%k up a wet dream. That money could magically vanish into paying for......a $2.5 million dollar audit!!!
Oh, you forgot your tagline.....I kinda liked it!
