Vindication is a wonderful thing. For those that have scoffed about the rising tide of Democrats and that this state, just like others are moving from red to purple . . . read on:

With the Democraps controlling Congress and approval in the single digits it may be the year of the independent and 3rd party candidates after all...Maybe the the Replubpukes and Democraps will finally feck off and die.

Not sure that'll actually happen. The BNP has a greater chance of having Britain's Prime Minister than a 3rd party getting a majority in Congress. :) The American people have it ingrained that they only have two choices, for the most part.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the US Congress nor how it is set up. It really doesn't make any sense having to houses who 'check' each other to be elected, by the same people at that matter. It seems to be too much bickering, negotiating, and corruption having that sort of set-up. If I remember correctly from studying US History at University, Congress was much more peaceful prior to the 17th amendment. Makes me wonder if that should be repealed, that way the states can put in Senators who would be better suited for such a job.

actually the problem with congress is elitism, arrogance, and corruption from lobbyist and corporate interests... Congress the the only place in the world where you can have a 9% approval rating and still have a job. Now days if Al-Queda wanted to fly a jet into the capital building while congress was in session, I don't think many people would try to stop them. On the bright side, re-elected or not at least Kennedy won't be around too much longer.....Furthermore with the dems ganging up and fighting the repubs and fighting them on EVERYTHING just based on partisan BS and not the issues and what's best for the people, you know nothing will ever get done..... Hell, somebody just go shoot 'em all as far as I care, you'd just be doing the rest of us a favor....
