I received a very positive mailer from Raymond MacKay yesterday. It was a direct and to the point recap of what he stands for: accountability, open government, economic development and STOPPING THE BICKERING ON COUNCIL. Nothing negative. No cheap shots at Waldrep. Just an honest forthright appeal for support. I think this is the kind of refreshing businesslike approach that we ordinary district #1 voters want and need for our county. The drama of the past two years has been real and and its been fun, but it hasn't been real fun. Time for a change.

I too have seen the mailer. It's a well-written, to-the-point mailing that takes the high road - something that has been a trademark of MacKay's campaign. A positive campaign free of mudslinging . . . now THAT'S a first!
