It seems like Bob's attempt at playing the "Republican Party" card came up empty. Indeed, it appears to have given MacKay a lift in District #1. Now it seems Bob's taking leftovers from Eddie Moore's female-bashing "It's Party Time" audio ad and warming them over in Rick Driver's WAIM low wattage microwave. By the way, for those keeping score at home, Driver's wife is on the infamously suspect Republican Executive Committee that voted unanimously to censure Raymond Mackay for voting for John Edwards in the Presidential Primary. Anyway, shame on "Negative Bob" for bashing female employees of the county. Perhaps T.G. Shepherd will sue him for copyright infringment. Nonetheless, I'd like to hereby request that somebody who listens to Rick Driver's brain numbing show call in and request my favorite Jackson Browne song in honor of Waldrep's empty campaign:

Running on Empty - Jackson Browne

Looking out at the road rushing under my wheels
Looking back at the years gone by like so many summer fields
In sixty-five I was seventeen and running up one-o-one
I dont know where Im running now, Im just running on

Running on - running on empty
Running on - running blind
Running on - running into the sun
But Im running behind

Gotta do what you can just to keep your love alive
Trying not to confuse it with what you do to survive
In sixty-nine I was twenty-one and I called the road my own
I dont know when that road turned onto the road Im on

Running on - running on empty
Running on - running blind
Running on - running into the sun
But Im running behind

Everyone I know, everywhere I go
People need some reason to believe
I dont know about anyone but me
If it takes all night, thatll be all right
If I can get you to smile before I leave

Looking out at the road rushing under my wheels
I dont know how to tell you all just how crazy this life feels
I look around for the friends that I used to turn to to pull me through
Looking into their eyes I see them running too

Running on - running on empty
Running on - running blind
Running on - running into the sun
But Im running behind

Honey you really tempt me
You know the way you look so kind
Id love to stick around but Im running behind
You know I dont even know what Im hoping to find
Running into the sun but Im running behind

As I posted earlier I received a call about the new Waldrep radio ad and how it seems that women in this area are ready to get out the tar and feathers. If you've heard the ad tell us all what it says. If it's as bad as I'm hearing I want to make sure I have some good running shoes on when we chase him down the street, catch him and then throw him in that pot of tar. That almost sounds more fun than just voting him out on Tuesday!

You'd think Waldrep would know enough about running hit pieces during a runoff (e.g., you DON'T). Remember, the ghost of Mullinax haunts you (I think I spelled that right, hehe).

We have started referring to his lame brain ideas as the gift that just keeps on giving! I don't know who his advisers are (Kevin Bryant?)but he needs to send them packing. Better yet, we'll take care of that come November.

It's never smart to make a woman mad and it seems he has them all fired up now!

His radio ad is a clear attempt to mimic the Eddie Moore "Party Time" ad that caught attention a couple of weeks ago. This one is not going to have the same impact, I believe. It is too obviously a copying attempt.

Bob Waldrep is the finest Republican leader in Anderson County.  Conservatives will continue to support Bob and Democrats will support Mr. Mackay.  The honest taxpayers will prevail and we will keep Bob in office.  Great song too!! Cool

Bob Waldrep proved this morning, on the radio, that in 1983, while the GREAT COMMUNICATOR was PRESIDENT, he CHOSE TO BE A DEMOCRAT.

Let me repeat that for the "honest taxpayers" . . .

BOB WALDREP CHANGED FROM A REPUBLICAN TO A DEMOCRAT IN 1983 - 1983 IS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FIRST TERM OF RONALD REAGAN.

Some Republican there, Waldrep. I mean after all, if you are going to make an issue about who's a Republican, let's really examine this issue shall we?

Vote for the only REAL REPUBLICAN June 24th . . . vote MacKay.

He became a Democrat when we had RONALD REAGAN in office???????  Unreal!  I wish Reagan were still with us.  That man had conservative principles but charm.  Too many of our conservatives now have nothing but abrasiveness.

Reagan was a democrat at one time. we all make mistakes. Waldrep is a conservative republican. He didn't vote 2 months ago in the democratic primary. He didn't give Jim "he's a lawyer friend of mine" Hodges $1000.00.

Be a man Raymond, admit you are a democrat running in a republican primary!

Well then . . . if you can forgive Reagan and Waldrep for BEING DEMOCRATS, you can't find it in your heart to forgive MacKay for voting in a Democratic primary?

Those donations were 8 years ago, btw.

After all, a street runs TWO ways.

Again, its' his money and he's free to do whatever the hell he wants with it....If he wants to blow it on hookers, crack, or the Democrap party, that is his business and his alone.

Goodness, I didn't know hookers were an option. And here I've been wasting all that money on campaign contributions. Frown

Ah, well. Same basic result. Laughing

Friendship is a sign of loyalty. I can at least admire a virtue like that.

Wow,I would think the Jackson Brown song for Bob Waldrep would be Everyman, while the song for Raymond Mackay would be The Pretender.

Well, actually crack and hookers are not just his business. the law does have a say. So far though, giving it to Democrats isn't a crime . . . .yet!

It's an extension, Queen, not a copy. The same person is helping with Bob's campaign who helped with Eddie's.

Good to know womanwithabrain doesn't let a little thing like not having heard the ad slow her down. Why wait around until you know what you're talking about, right? wonder how womanwithoutabrain would respond?

She wouldn't she'd just sit there in a vegetative state drooling on herself unable to read or type....
