Bill lost his "home" box. Heck, I am not sure that Mary didn't vote against him. He got a whole 39%. Wasn't it you that called him "Pendleton's favorite son"? You might be right. The only box he won was Pendleton and by less than 1%.
Bill McAbee is washed up, and washed out. He will be forgotten, as soon as he gets all those signs down.

Yes Bill lost his home box. But for your information, both his wife and his son voted for him. Sorry to take the edge off your glee. I am sure you will have to make some remark about my Republican credentials. That's okay. At the end of the day in spite of all the mud Bill and I have to scrape off, we're still Republicans and we plan to vote for and support the Republican ticket in November. What do you plan to do Lifelong? Are you voting for McCain, Lindsey, Gresham, and all the other Republicans on the ticket?

I'll vote republican too but it sure hurts to have you in the same party. When did Republicans become the party of hate-mongering and personal distruction? Bill and MaryMac have given much of their lives to Republican values. Can't you get a better outlook on life - it is after all a long process. There are winners and losers and sometimes they are the same persons. Bill will be back and I predict you will be GLAD to have him - once you get a belly full of the RINOs and WAIM Libertarians running the county into the ground. The it will be a life-long-republican's chore to try and resurrect the party in AC. My man Bill will be back and so will MaryMac!

Wyatt, a good start would be to actually accept bids from the auditing firms. That alone wouldestablish a precedent that would save thiscounty millions of dollars over the next few years. Contracts and RFPs have become the exception instead of the rule. We already have an official county realtor, we don't need an official county auditor too boot.

Ummm . . . you have to state what you are putting up for bid. Which means that the county would have to outline, completely, in their RFP, what is and is not to be audited.
Which is no different from what we have done all along . . . oh wait . . .

And, by the way, Republikin, a "coup d'etat" is a takeover of the government without the benefit of free and fair elections. Nice try, but like so much of the other hysterical campaign rhetoric coming from both sides during this election, it's just WRONG! You do not have a coups d'etat in a democracy unless that democracy has already failed and the campaigning becomes so violent that even the United Nations winces.
In any event, even it were a coup, it would be a "coup d'county" in this case.

JD, I am now convinced that is what will happen in November. It is certainly a sad day in Anderson County when we can't even get 4000 people to the polls in an election that will effect Anderson County for years. It is a blip on the radar for most of the people my age that are always the mainstay of voters in every election. It will certainly effect our future generations who will "beat feet" to escape the suffocating, selfish, antiquated, churlish, set back that this County Council elect could bring. Prove me wrong!

The very factthat an administrator who supposedly serves at the pleasure of the elected Council could have a htree year contract pretty much defines the out of kilter state that Anderson County government is in. That's what happens when the administrator gets to spend a million bucks or so on attorneys a year. One of them writes him a damn fine contract.I just wonder if the contract says he has to be retained as adminsitrator? Hislove for the stormwater runoff field is well known.Perhaps he could transfer down there?

This county has spent more to settle sexual harassment lawsuits than it spent fighting the writ of mandamus. That fight, by the way, could have been ended by a simple majority vote to release the information. So every dollar Joey spent was authorized by a Council that apparently has as much to hide as anyone.
