In direct answer to your question, perhaps you went to the gutter the same way I did when I pointed out the truth about people who have the same political views as YOU have? Andrew, we were PROFILING, and PROFILING is wrong. We know that, don't we?

As I said, Andrew, I'll play with you if you want to play. But if you want to have a shred of credibility left, you'll call a truce and move on to another game now.

Andrew:  Please allow me to say it is not becoming of a young gentleman to throw off on folks over there in MCWs district that only have a 6th grade education.  Many of those folks do not have the education you have for the simple reason they did not get the opportunity.  I've met some of them my young friend, that had to go to work at an early age to support family.  Also, many got drafted to do the country's dirty business (WWII, Korea, Vietnam).  Finding themselves after those tasks were taken care of, they found they still had to go to work, rather than schools (though many did on the GI Bill). 

Now the folks may not have the education that you have, but they quickly recognize when someone is pissing on their leg  while trying to make them think it is raining.  And they do vote.  Like their vote, or not, it is their right.  And like the old saying:  If you can read and write, thank a teacher.  If you've got the right to run off at the mouth, thank a soldier - esp some of them old boys you've been "so kind" to.

Now, FYI,  Charles Crow is in a position to make your life very uncomfortable if he is a mind to do so.  As you know, with the right of free speech, comes some of that there responsibility stuff.  Post on here that the wrong person is a Nazi or KKK grand master or whatever, and you might be called on to prove it (JMO).

And your comments about our friend over in Pickens are totally out of line.  He is not a nut that enjoys bringing people down.  Like me.  Just a bit nuts

Andrew, that's where you overboard. I have a lifelong record of standing against racism and bigotry, and I've certainly done my share to pave the way for progress in Pickens County, yet you apparently feel comfortable posting a line like, "You agree with them (JD and Ed, I assume) that rcism, bigotry and outlandish hatred progress must continue?"

See, little buddy, your problem is that you SAY something, then your little liberal brain takes what you said, twists it around a debate, and automatically assumes it MUST be RIGHT becaus, after all, YOU SAID IT.

You're dead wrong on this one, Andrew, and if you have nothing to offer to the dabe other than to try to tag me and other conservatives as racist and bigoted, then I have no time for the likes of you.

Not every conservative is a racist. Not every liberal is capable of thinking non-reflexively. I think the two of us are proof of both of those statements.

In case you are referring to me and JD, I'll say this to you two times.  The first and last:  I do not like being referred to as a bigot or a racist by you or anyone else.  Bigots and racist are not nice people at all.

Neither I nor JD have given you any reason to suggest we're racist and bigots.

No, Andrew, my post that spawned your attack was in response to SSHM's comments about conservatives, not-so-conservatives and moderates and their contributions to the Republian Party.

From that comment, you immediately labeled me and others bigoted, racist and the proud holders of sixth-grade educations.

By the way, you forgot homophobic. Why did you leave out that old liberal standby? I mean, what I said had as much to do with homosexuality (nothing) as it had with racism and bigotry (also nothing.) Did you just forget?

Surely you know a racist, bigoted, undereducated, knuckle-draggin', tobacco-spittin', truck-drivin' Southerner white man who demands to know how the government is spending his money is being spent must also be homophobic?
