As for Senate District 3 being one of the most conservative in the state, you really need to take another look around. The demographics since Bryant was first elected have changed dramatically. The City of Anderson is becoming increasingly progressive in its policies and development practices. Things are changing lifelonglibertarian, and it most certainly be NOT to your liking.
Raymond MacKay is the catalyst for which the Republican Party will be re-taken in this county. The CAVE (RhINOs) that currently occupy it's "senior management" are on their way out, either by natural causes (ummm ... you're OLD) or by defeat (ummm . . . you're OLD and BEATEN).
