Personally, I think all of this Democrat or Republican back-and-forth means very little one way or another as far as fiscal conservatism. Most "mainstream" Democrats want to spend money like drunken sailors (with apologies to drunken sailors, who at least spend their own money), while most "mainstream" Republicans nowadays seem to want to spend money like Democrats.
I agree with Zn to some extent here. Regardless of whether you vote for a Republican or a Democrat, government spending is going to continue to to UP, taxes are going to continue to UP, and once this election cycle is over, nobody's opinion will matter one iota - until the next election cycle, when the wool gets pulled over your eyes again.
