I feel that Michael Thompson did an excellent thing in withdrawing from the runoff. I was impressed with his handling of a very stressful situation and wish him well in the future.
It actually is a wise thing to do, it save the taxpayers money and it settles things much smoother
I think we will see a council that will use the next six months to get BUSINESS done.

lets not forget giving away district 5 funds to other school districts...
apparently I made a Thompson supporter uncomfortable earlier...... so again... GOOD RIDDANCE YOU FRACKIN' FRUIT LOOP!!!!
I have a question I am hoping one of our knowledgable posters can answer. I had never really thought about who foots the bills for the various primaries and elections. I think I've always just assumed some branch of the govt was paying and we the taxpayers were footing the bill. Which I guess ultimatly we are regardless of who's writing the check. But than I heard discussions on the news during the Florida and Michigan primary problem about the expense to the states democratic party if they had to re-do the election. And I also heard similar things here about the expenses when we went to the voting computers and who was going to cover the costs. So does anyone know? Who is responsible for election and primary expenses? And who sets the primary schedules?
