Take your losses like grown ups. The new council will not cause the end of the world. Anderson County will still be here. If you think most of us will pack up and move because of a shift on council, you are wrong. We will just keep on living our day to day lives and find something new to fuss about. Or maybe try to make things better in the county.

You are correct! I completely misjudged the Adams-Drawdy race. I still have not quite figured out where I went wrong there, but I did.
But the other predictions I made were spot on! So one miscue out of eight predictions is a wonderful score! I am still jubilant over the results.
The landslide loss for Thompson put the sugar on my bran this morning! The old saying about "There is a new Sheriff in town." has never had a better meaning.
So gmab I am very sorry that Sarah lost. I still think she is the best person for the job.
But I was right way more than I was wrong. So I'll stick with my 5-2 prediction!

If the run-offs go for Waldrep and against Thompson, you'll be spot on.
I think I saw in the paper this AM that Thompson said he just could not understand why the incumbents were not doing too well. I think that explains why the incumbents did not do so well....

Again you have me confused with someone who really gives a damn. How can I harbor "bitter defeat" about the council elections when there wasn't anyone I really supported in the first place?.... I don't care for the council now, and I most likely won't care for the one coming up either. But I will agree with you that Gracie Floyd likes to play the "race card" and she's laughable, not becasue she's black but because she's a fool.
