Hwy 28 through Walhalla, go past Stumphouse tunnel. Turn left at the peanut stand and psudo-convenience store listen for gunfire.

I've been up that way within the last year. I'm not familiar with where you are speaking of can you give me the complete name of the shooting range, address, and phone number?

If any of the candidates would have saved their pennies, pooled the money together and done something worthwhile for the county besides littering and wasting $$$ for signs and stickers, I'd vote for that person in a heartbeat!

I've looked at the whole election process ( locally, regionally and nationally) and come to realize how much WASTE is there. Nothing of any good came from campaigning

You go over to the shooting range up on Long Mtn. and tell all those guys that you are going to have them all arrested and jailed for using GARBAGE to hold their targets up, I dare you, I'll even pay for your gas......While I was there last Saturday I saw several Adams, a lot of McAbee and Thompson signs, as well as several from Oconee and Pickens candidates. There also seemed to be quite the abundance of Lindsay Graham signs as well.....

- zn706

Was wondering the best use for all these signs we've found yanked up all along the roadways. We were gonna round them all up and gonna use them as colorful board-ups for the dilapidated homes around here. But as target backstops it gives more satisfaction shooting at your least favorite candidate, even if it's only symbolic
{+} Anyone got an extra GWB or McCain sign around???

It's a dnr shooting range. The only one in oconee county. Look it up on the internet. it will take you about 45 minutes to get there. Say hello to Chrissy Adams while your up there.

No but I have plenty of Osama and Hildabeast signs slated for target stand duty during the next trip to the range...

I'm still confused folks. One person has the email thanking everyone for picking up Billie RubberStamp McAbee's signs and another says she will sick the Park Police on any person even looking at the signs. What is an HONEST person to do?

Bubba,

I believed the e-mail sent to me from the McAbee Campaign was designed to be tongue-in-cheek. In other words, a little light-hearted humor in this heated final stretch. As for the claim of 5,000 signs, noting how many I have seen personally along with reports from others, I'm inclined to take that at face value, with an additional inclination that the number is STILL LOW.

An honest person, Bubba, would follow the law and leave the campaign signs alone.

OK sshm. I have no idea where I would take 5,000 of his worthless signs to sell anyway. I wonder if the county council member over in Spartanburg that has bought nearly $500,000 worth of stolen copper in the past few weeks from a gang that operated in a circle around the councilman's place of business would pay anything for Billie RubberStamp McAbee's signs?

The only rubber stamp candidate is Tom Allen. Whatever Cindy Wilson says Tom Allen rubber stamps. Does District 4 really need to vote another representative for district 7? NO!

The only growth in District 7 in the past two years has been the economic development project brought there by Bill McAbee. Yes that development is helping keep gas prices in Anderson $0.27 less per gallon than the national average of over $4.00 per gallon.

Bill McAbee successfully fought and defeated the $1000 per house impact fee and the $25 per car fee.

Do we really need another tax and spend democrat pretending to be a conservative republican? NO! Say no to the RINO!

Vote for the REAL conservative voice on Council. Vote Bill McAbee Anderson County Council District 4.

There is no greater tax and spend demoncrat on council than Billie MoreTaxIsGood McAbee. He and Amy and Joey are leading the wrong way for all of Anderson County.

Ummm . . . there is only one McAbee up for re-election. Once again Bubba, he is in District FOUR. You are in District ONE. Tomorrow, when you go to vote, you won't have a McAbee on your ballot. You will choose, relevant to County Council, between WALDREP and MACKAY.

I really hope you try to write-in for ALLEN just so the folks in District ONE can have a good laugh at your STUPIDITY.

STUPID SHOULD HURT MORE.

Anderson has the highest profiled council in the upstate. Signs really don't matter at this point.

GOTV efforts are the key now.

Yeah, that would be a wasted vote. You see, council has the same rules as appointments to the Economic Development Board. they have to live in the district. Tom lives in district 4, and will represent district 4 with distinction. He is not eligible to represent district 1. We have a distinguished councilman already.

if you ain't got the folks ready to go vote by now, it ain't gonna happen. I did get an interesting call for Tom Allen today. Anybody else get it? I also got one from Skipper. didn't get one from David C.

Had a few for each candidate call trying to spew their garbage since this began. Each one was told to "f- off" in a stern and impolite manner and reminded that people sign up for a "do not call list" for a reason, and that I'm not voting for their candidate simply becasue by that candidate's representative calling me, it tells me that the candidate in question doesn't respect my peace and privacy.

If it was as easy as it used to be to get on the "trusted" side of a phone switch, I'd have a recording of every incumbent spewing their campaign garbage and set the switch to call every listed phone number in the district of each incumbent and play their recording at full volume to whoever answered at 3:30am......
