Cindy Wilson held a campaign event in Williamston tonight that I attended. I'd say there was about 100 people there (a very good crowd for Williamston), and it was literally packed out the door of the Old Gossett Schoolhouse. She participated in a lengthy question and answer session with the crowd and it was clear that she still has wide support in Williamston which is one of the largest voting blocs in the district.
Sarah Drawdy was also present and also gave a very well received speech. The Solicitor's race is going to be very interesting.

having said that, Id expect her to keep her core group regardless of what gets revealed about her..
they arent concerned about the methods she uses..and will tolerate a level of action, words and deeds that would from another politician generate outrage from the same group...

Actually, you may be rightthatthere were people there from opther districts,because many of the issues she raises, and many of the insults and attacks she endures, resonate outside District Seven. For example, go to any district and mention the infamous theft of her recreation funds,and you will hear folks from everywhere saying how wrong they think that was. I suspect that will cost incumbents form every District except one and six votes on Tuesday. And before you waste your time explaining tome how that all went down, I know how it all went down. And I know how it is seen around the county, so I'll stick to my depiction, okay?

What people in District Seven are interested in are things like the Council stealing Cindy's rec funds, Doug Hooper, in a fit of innocence, transferring his property to his in laws while the woman he almost killed still lay in a coma, and the many slights and insults Cindy Wilson has been subjected to. Those are the points they remember, and the only polling that matters is Tuesday, brother.See, those folks LIKE Cindy, and they know her. Unfortunately for him, a lot of them know Mr. Hooper too.
The vast majority of the crowd yesterday were from the Williamston area.
