While you're prognosticating, why not pick your candidates for Sheriff, Solicitor, Senate, Congress and lastly, Madam President.
And who wins the Superbowl too, I'm looking for Vegas odds.

I haven't really had a good laugh today.

I would love to wake up June 11th and read the headline:

"Anderson County Redeemed for All Times."

I just don't know that that will be what happens, but we can always hope.

VOTERS, PLEASE LIBERATE ANDERSON COUNTY ON JUNE 10. FREE THE SLAVES (TAXPAYERS) THAT HAVE TO KEEP THE ELITE (PRESTON AND HIS GANG)IN THEIR LIFESTYLE. WE ARE TIRED OF ONLY GETTING THE SCRAPS LEFT OVER FROM THEIR $75.00 (EACH) MEALS THAT WE HAVE TO PAY FOR. WE ARE OVERTAXED AND UNDER THE DICTATORSHIP OF JOEY RAY PRESTON WE HAVE NO REPRESENTATION THAT IS ALLOWED TO SPEAK OUT. TAKE US BACK TO OPEN GOVERNMENT BY ELECTING HONEST PEOPLE TO COUNCIL AND FIRING KING JOE.

OVERTAXED....AND GOING UP EVEN MORE.

Now for the truth . . .

County Council

District 1 – MacKay (by at least 10%) – Go watch the AIM/WRIX Debate and see for yourself where Bob looked more lost than ever. MacKay is young, vibrant, and established member of the community. In this battle between Geritol and Growth, Growth wins.

District 2 – Floyd (2-1 margin, if not more) – Find ANYONE that can beat Gracie right now, and I’ll sell you a bridge in Brooklyn. She’s popular, well liked, and very constituent-service focused.

District 3 – Greer (by 5% or less, more likely less) – Don’t underestimate Eddie Moore. This will be a tight race, tighter than most folks will give credit or credence to. At the end of the day, Greer will return, wounded and weaker than before. He’ll have two years to strengthen his image and resolve for the folks in District 3.

District 4 – McAbee (by at least 15%, if not more) – Pendleton’s Native Son will return yet again for another two years on County Council. Between solid door-to-door feedback and the fact that his opponent doesn’t know the US Constitution, Bill wins, and wins big - big enough to be second only to Ron Wilson in District 6.

District 5 – Thompson (by less than 2%, then a run-off, and then by 3% or less) – This is THE closest race among all of the county council races. Thompson and Dunn will finish 1-2 in the primary, but will finish close enough to force a run-off. Without additional votes to divide the electorate in District 5, Thompson will return to council, having survived his closest political race to date.

District 6 – Wilson (2-1 margin, if not nearly 3-1) – Ron Wilson, aka the Juggernaut, will wreck-and-dismantle Rick Freemantle. The need for strong political leadership, and the drive to keep the dump out of Wilson’s backyard (NIMBY in full effect) will keep Freemantle from sitting on council . . . most likely ever.

District 7 – Hooper (by 5% or less) – To many, the result of this race will be a total shocker. The H.M.S. Cindy Wilson will slowly sink, but not without a fight in District 7. While there are many Cindy supporters in D7, the number of people who support first responders and what they do for us will outweigh and outmaneuver Anderson’s own version of Tammany Hall.

Solicitor – Drawdy (by at least 15%, if not closer to 2-1) – Thug, Inc. will walk away a sore loser in this fight. Drawdy has massive cross-spectrum support in Anderson County. Oconee County, which is Adams’ territory, will not be enough to carry the day. It’s good to see that an election can’t be bought (as, according to recent campaign filings, Adams, aka the Bon-Bon Lady, will have outmaneuvered her opponent, financially, by a 2-to-1 margin. It’s a shame (for Adams) that the polls will show the opposite.

Sheriff – Flip a coin (too close to call) – While I would hardly call one person winning over the other a “shocker” or a “surprise,” there are too many factors at play here.

Senate District 3 – Bryant (55-45) – A wounded Bryant will return to the SC Senate, taking with him the knowledge that social issues really don’t play as well as he thought in District 3. If he’s politically astute enough, he’ll note the swing back towards moderate Republicans and Southern Democrats . . . the group he is catering to is on the fringe, and is shrinking daily (oh, and they're NOT IN YOUR DISTRICT, SENATOR!)

Senate District 4 – O’Dell (2-1 margin) – In what will likely be his final term in Columbia, Billy will return “tan, rested, and ready” to serve yet again. No challenge from Ortiz here.

If Cindy loses I'll buy you some bon-bons (I don't make Chrissy Adam's $128,000 salary, but I've got some money on the piggy bank).

There there, Bubba . . . everything will be ok. I know the truth hurts and that stupid is painful, but it's going to be ok. Having covered the far-flung corners of the county, there are two constants:

1.) A lot of folks could care less (heck - listen to Ricky Dribble in the morning - some of the callers don't know who's running! [or are totally focused on the Trading Post]).

2.) This site is the equivalent of insider baseball. You know - those fans that know so much about the sport (the AAA/AA/A rosters, who's going to be called up to the majors, who's going back to AAA or AA ball, etc) that they can't see the forest for the trees.

If you look up and around, folks don't care. We care.

I understand Abbeville is contemplating setting up a CAVE Refugee and Relocation Assistance Camp just after the polls close on June 10th since things in Anderson will be sooooo bleak . . .

On the political side I'll only predict Drawdy winning big. I'm still undecided who to vote for in the Sheriff's race. (Just throwing a little humor out there.Lighten up.)

Can't call the superbowl. Don't care about NFL. I'll predict UGA wins the National Championship. If Coach Richt don't rotate tailbacks I'd predict Knowshon for the Heisman. (Don't see that happening though.) I'll also go with the Celtics over the Pistons by 8 points.

1.) You don't have to buy it. I just GAVE it to you.

2.) As for your acceptance, it's really irrelevant, just like your perception of the truth. Time and time again, I provide verifiable, credible source material. It "seems to me" Stanton, the truth hurts. One more year of defeats for Team CAVE may just be a little more than you and others can stomach.

Eight years of failures to push your agenda. You'd think you'd take a hint.
