Willieh, there have been many things said on The Cocklebur that may be offensive to Mrs. and Mrs. McAbee, but saying that SHE has a mind of her own and an identity of her own and that HE recognizes and respects that is not one of them.
In fact, I think it's quite nice of you - an opponent of Bill McAbee's who will stoop to almost any level to defeat him - to throw out such huge compliments in the middle of a campaign.
Perhaps you're not such an a** after all. Or, perhaps, you're not so much of a SMARTa** as you are a ...

There was no blame to be passed around Willieh. It was my sign. I told Gresham to put it up in our front yard. What part of my previous post did you not understabnd. I AM TO BLAME FOR THE GRESHAM BARRETT SIGN IN OUR FRONT YARD DURING THE 2002 PRIMARY. Bill was right when he said that in the meeting. I am not complaining about what Bill said or did. .

Here's some ethics to consider.
Dr. Juan Brown, Chairman of the Economic Development Advisory Board wrote a letter to Michael Thompson letting him know that Bill McAbee's 2 appointments to the Economic Development Advisory Board violated Anderson County Ordinance Section 2-492 which states that each council member will appoint two members from from his or her respective district. Dr. Brown stated Bill McAbee's appointments, Amy Plummer and Mike McIntosh, did not live in Bill McAbee's district. Dr. Brown stated that Bill McAbee's appointments do not have the legal right to be members of the of the Anderson County Economic Development Advisory Board. Dr. Brown stated that Bill McAbee's appointees, Plummer and McIntosh, will not be seated on the Board. The letter is dated May 22, 2008.

So what you are saying, is that neither of McAbee's appointments live in district 4? I knew Plumber has moved several times, but I thought at least the other dude lived in the district.
I don't know if this unethical, but more illegal. Probably like all the credit card expenditures. Advil and booze paid for all with the county tax dollars.
