HONEST truth! Is there any other kind?

Be a democrat: The only party that raises the dead, and takes them to the polls.

welp, then absolutely I would recommend you vote for the least informed individual out there. Why break from the current trend of political leadership of our county/state and nation being a bunch of DOLTS???

But to agree with JD......Sarah is change for the better

Yes Ed, theres Honest truth and the TRUTH spouted by political sound-bites, campaign jargon and pandering to the uninformed masses.
Y'know, like when you go to church to hear God's truth and the pastor preaches "words of truth" and them goes out to get drunk and fraternize with little girls.....the REAL truth!

I'd say it's difficult to ascertain how bad things really are if the HONEST truth is hidden from view.

Taylor didn't disclose the FACTS the vehicles were over lease useage, nor did he say staff turnover was higher than before, nor did he disclose Solicitor's reluctance to deal with jail overcrowding( hence the need for a bigger jail for holding more pre-trial or as-yet arraigned defendants)Not all FACTS are easy for Joe Candidate to find out either. Would YOU disclose your flaws during a race? Not likely, as it gives ammo to your opponent.

Vote June 10th for Crenshaw/Drawdy

- wyatt1sc

Who was the solicitor at that time? Where did Drawdy work at that time?

Maybe Crenshaw has a drug raid/photo-op scheduled for 9 a.m. on June 5th, Whattheheck. There's no time for silly things like DEBATES when there are still doors to be kicked in.

Not all have, gmab, but Skipper and Crenshaw both have.

Today on WRIX Crenshaw misleads the people of Anderson County yet again.

John Skipper stated that according to the ethics report filed by Mr. Crenshaw, He (Crenshaw) reported that in the year 2005 he grossed $64,000.00 and for the year of 2006 he grossed $77,000.00 (a raise of $13,000.00 in one year)…

Did anyone attend the debate this morning I did and I must say there were a few of the Skipper supporters there who really scared me.(Remember I do not scare easy) The stupidest question asked (which was submitted by a Skipper fan) was Do you believe there was a Cater Lake investigation I laughed my butt off , How freakin stupid can you get ? Sorry I believe they could of asked a question that is imperative to the current times not an old worn out he said/she said bulls@#t.
Now before anyone gets their panties in a ruffle and start cussing me out, let me set the record straight. I have met Skipper several times as I may think he is a nice person, I do not feel he would make a good sheriff remember we are all entitled to our own opinion.. Have a happy day

- angelsc

Ohh so you were one of the 3 that was there for Crenshaw? Sorry they scared you so much, must have a phobia of crowds over 12.

Skippy, all your ranting about Crenshaw on here and yet acted like a scared kitten this morning. All your ramblings is beginning to sound like Drawdy. "Skippy cares about me" should be on your next ad. Give it up and keep pushing pencils.

AAHHH, you noticed the "meth lab" numbers too. I also find it funny after the "biggest lab I've ever seen" there were no drugs or suspects.

- Former Cop

Authorities make arrest related to large meth lab in Anderson County
http://www.independentmail.com/news/2008/may/28/authorities-make-arrest-related-large-meth-lab-and/

Sounds like a suspect to me, and I'm not even a cop.

From what I understand, most meth labs are located when they are not “cooking,” therefore there is a rarely a seizure of drugs, and it can be extremely difficult to find the actual offender. I believe the numbers below from the DEA show that as well. With 97.5% of cases involving meth being related to trafficking, that only leaves 2.5% being charged with some other charge including possession, possession with intent to distribute, manufacturing and being in possession of meth making materials.

http://149.101.1.32/dea/concern/meth.html
…Between October 1, 2004 and January 11, 2005, there were 1,136 Federal offenders sentenced for methamphetamine-related charges in U.S. Courts. Approximately 95.9% of these methamphetamine cases involved a trafficking offense. Between January 12, 2005 and September 30, 2005, there were 3,703 Federal offenders sentenced for methamphetamine-related charges in U.S. Courts. Approximately 97.5% of the cases involved trafficking.(19)…

Kinda like the year long investigation that netted only 45 warrants. Are you kidding me?

- Former Cop

http://www.independentmail.com/news/2008/apr/23/law-enforcement-anderson-area-tracks-busts-traffic/
…Over the past three years, all categories of drug arrests in the county have remained fairly constant at about 630 arrests per year.

In the first two months of 2008, the Sheriff’s Office had made 110 arrests in Anderson County, on target to make 660 for the year. In 2005, the office made 678, the high for the three-year period….

It doesn’t sound to me as though all other arrests just stopped during those investigations. In fact, if you keep up with the “CrimeTracker” on the AIM website you’ll see drug arrests about every day.

Seems like a lot of "top stories" coming out around election time. It just seems these "top stories" are just run of the mill police work that are neither "top stories" or all that impressive.

- Former Cop

Again, I’m not a cop, but my husband has been for going on 17 years now. Sometimes some of his biggest cases are never heard about in the news, and then one day some petty thing he has dealt with will make front page or top story. The television news and the newspapers print what they want to print. Depending on if it’s a slow news day or a hot news day some stories get picked up, others don’t. There have been a lot of “top stories” that have come out of Anderson over the last few years. Maybe you’re just paying more attention to these particular types of stories now that it’s close to election time.

Rumor has it that Crenshaw has ordered his Narc’s to start making a bust a day to keep him in the paper until the primary. What desperation this man must feel. WHY have they not been doing this already? Why did they have to wait until a week and a half before Crenshaw is voted out to start doing their job in earnest! Does Crenshaw really think that the people of Anderson County are so naïve to not see this for what it really is
