An investment of $10 million in a private corporation on their private property doesn't quite signal party time in the county.

The bottom line is that the investment only generates five new jobs. How many of those jobs will be filled by employees already on the corporate payroll? I'd like to know.

How much of that $10 million will be spent utilizing county contractors and suppliers? I'd like to know.

You people show your true colors... Sure, its not 100 jobs or anything, but it's not exactly bad to have an investment like this in Anderson.

If the worst you can find is small positive progress, you really haven't got any material have you?

P.S. You actually don't want to know. You just love asking questions and casting doubt around. Too bad you've been at it for years and the tactic still isn't working. How soon until you barge into a council meeting and shoot everybody up? Even then, your sort won't control the destiny of our county...

Could that cripple nut case be the ONE and ONLY Brooks I am a dumb ass Brown?

- Daneboy_4

Dan e boy. I attempted to call a truce with you and you let it go unrecognized. But when I read this post I thought to myself why bother. You have said alot of mean and nasty things to alot of bloggers. Some I call you on and sometimes I just turn a blind eye. But this is the last draw. For you to comment on someones disability is about the lowest thing you could do. Is this what you have resorted to?Brooks Brown is a very good man with a srtrong ability to speak out against the people that he does not support. Does that make him wrong? Only in the eyes of the CAVE Dwellers. I will end by saying one more thing. Everyone in this county, whether it be Cindy Wilson, Rick Driver, Stan Welch, and the list goes on and on, that has done alot of things to hurt people and their families will have their day. It will all come back to them and you Dan e boy. I just hope I am here to see that bus roll through town.

That $10 million is corporate money. It will always be, young Andrew. How can the citizens claim any ownership of that mixing facility? They can't.

You think adding a highly volatile ethanol plant in the county is a good thing? Think again.

Nice to have them as neighbors, but fanfare is not appropriate in this case.

I assure you that I will never storm the courthouse (or any other structure) with loaded weapons - - but if I run into you in a parking lot, I might be tempted to *itch slap your soft ass.

Some thoughts on the public bathroom issue. First, I thought it was an April's Fools joke. Come on folks, someone as educated and relatively successful as Preston is not going to do such a thing. He and his counsel have to know better.

I think George is right here, it is probably likely that some folks were walking off the street to use the john during business hours. Sometimes those folks can be the best among us. Nothing like a drunk guy who has not bathed in a week walking in the women's bathroom around lunchtime to pee to make you think about putting up a sign. Contrary to some posts about my supposed career, I know about operating private venues open to the public, and those issues do come up. You put up a sign to cover yourself if you need to call in the fellas to haul some guy out.

Even with the melodrama that passes for politics here, I can' t see Preston ordering that people can not use the public bathroom at a public meeting. If he did, he is smart of enough to know he would make the AP's news of weird and have CNN's Jenny Moss knocking at this door. The guy is not geared that way. He and the county might even make it into a Leno joke.

Preston's way too smart for that. He'd have to be nuts to do such a thing. I don't see that.

With all doors locked, save one, and with an armed guard at that entrance, why was it necessary to stencil the no restroom message on the door in the first place? Do vagrants have to be given written notice before being physically rejected?

Stan Welch was denied access to the facility, no doubt about that.

Taylor Jones cannot possibly believe anyone would buy into his line of "sleeping vagrants" when a guard is posted during business hours.

Their excuses are thin enough to be totally transparent. That building is not Joey Preston's private, personal office building.

I really hate to comment (and I'm sure you hate for me to comment) but let me ask you. Troll-at-nite, would you let Stan Welch use your bathroom?

What is your true agenda on this thread (and others), Const, et al? Brown's name was mentioned twice, I think, in a ton of posts. He's not the primary subject of this thread.

You have become somewhat adept at bumping the more important issues out in favor of threads that don't amount to a thing, but your scheme does not go unnoticed.

You're out on a very small limb alright, but not because you made another of your nonsense posts...

The only thing transparent here is you Stan Welch in you obvious attempt at maligning another blogger on this site and leading lying innuendo for which you have absolutely no evidence and have lost all credibility.

Not trying to pick a fight on a Friday afternoon, Shih, but what is the difference between what YOU and others have done or attempted to do to Stan Welch and what Stan Welch and others have attempted to do to Constituent and Joey Preston?

Seems to me there's plenty of blame to go around here. If you want the game to stop, then stop playing it. Maybe everybody else will get bored and go home.

Jd,
Stan Welch writes truth negligent articles, throws disgusting innuendo about people in this community around on this blog with malicious intent to destroy their families, professional lives, and futures with lies. BIG difference. No disgusting innuendo or half truths in this post, huh?

JD, save your breath, man. I will say this one more time to you, since you will at least hear it. Whether you believe it or not is up to you. Stan Welch is not now nor has he ever posted as Troglodyte. If there is anyone on this blog who cares less for facts than shih head, I do not know who it is. But he has slandered Stan Welch dozens of times and lied hundreds of times. His word and his name are worthless. In a county and a blog full of hypocrites, he is at the top of the septic tank.

Dunebuggy, calm down man! I was just making a point. And I don't recall mentioning Troglodyte.
