You don't have to prod me, PAPPY. I just haven't yet figured out if my schedule will allow me to be there, much as I'd like to socialize with some of my favorite bloggers.

IN THEORY, I'll know by the end of the day if I have an assignment tomorrow. Let you know later today.

- JDTippett

Sounds good, JD. Hope you can make it, although I can appreciate your priorities.
If you can come, bring the missus, while she is hobnobbing with Mrs PAPPY about The Dollar Store we can mess with Jenny. She's on record about liking older men. . .

You can mess with me anytime. But I do LOVE the Dollar Store, so I might get in on some of that hobnobbing.

I was just reminded of a newspaper clipping that a friend of mine saved for me once. She always mocked my love of discount stores. It was a interview with this very nice lady who said, "I love Dollar General. You don't have to get all dressed up like you do to go to Walmart."

Incidentally, has anyone heard from The Queen ?

I haven't been able to contact her. She usually is at the front of the line for a bloggers' lunch.

Seriously Pappy...

How will I know where to sit if I don't know any of you?

NomadRon,

When you go in, ask where the Anderson Independent Mail Bloggers' Lunch Group are sitting. I have asked for a group of tables to sit about 15.
I will be there around 12:45 to check it out. I am a bald guy with a white close shaven beard and mustache. I will be with the prettiest gal in the place.

The place is not that big and they usually set up in a room to the right as you enter. I will watch for people looking around. How would I recognize you ?

Queen is on her way to FL for some family business else she would be there with bells on.

The Blog lunch was great. I'm sure Art will give a full report. But I wanted to take this opportunity to say I enjoyed it.

Ditto for the lunch and NomadRon, looks like we were both right the main campus is in New Brunswick and the stadium is in Piscataway.

It was good to meet many of you. I'm sorry I did not get to sit with you and stay to meet all. My oldest son had a basketball game at 2pm and there was just no way I could stay. Plus I'm sure my crew might have added just a bit more lively commotion than most are used to. It was fun to put some names to faces though.

Curtis' team won by the way, 52-35.

Hey folks, I enjoyed that. T'was good to see each one of you. Some for the second time. Really good to meet the new folks, too. Interesting discussions: I enjoyed listenening to them. Anyone heading to Abbeville anytime soon and you think you'll have a free moment drop me a line and we'll meet for a glass of something.

And Pappy, your bride is a darn sight prettier than you!

The blog lunch at the Golden Corral was a golden opportunity to meet posters in person and exchange ideas in a civil and joyful manner. The food was good, but the conversation was truly delicious.

12 posters were in attendance including: Nomad Ron and Mrs. Nomad Ron, Pappy and Mrs. Pappy, SSHM, Petunia, Ed Evans, Constituent and Constituent Family, Noeline, the County Councilman Bill McAbee, the Publisher of the Independent-Mail Butch Hughes, the Candidate for the Solicitor Office Sarah Drawdy.

The conversation, which lasted 2 hours, covered many topics including the following:

• Talking about the posters who did not attend.
• Elections, national and local.
• The relation between the City and the County.
• Dual water rates.
• Infrastructure, state and local.
• The future new look of the Independent-Mail, coming soon.

I do wish I could have been there.

It is good to hear that this blog is not dead (contrary to what some say) and still has an attraction to local Politicians.

I will say again... Maybe Next Time

You are actually more "right" than I. I thought both were in Piscataway. But I'm happy. That is what an event like today is for... Meet new folks and learn new things.
