Hey, Jack, weren't you the guy who got blog lunches going? I never went to one but kinda want to see what you folks look like in person. When is one in the works?

Blog lunch?
There has been some discussion that a blogger's lunch might be incorporated with the next City/County meeting at noon February 14th.
Some discussion would be appropriate. For those that only have an hour for lunch it would be difficult knowing when the meeting would reach a conclusion.
I am open to any decision made

Have lunch with a bunch of bloggers instead of the ole lady on Valentine's Day? Naw, can't do that. Sorry, but it would be fun to see who shows up. Maybe some other time.
I was kinda hoping that Pappy would be my Valentine, but I think that would get us both in some trouble.
Judging by how reactions have been on the blog lately, it'd be more like a Valentine's day MASSACRE instead of a luncheon!
From what I have observed on the blog lately there are many concerned citizens trying to obtain more information on City and County projects and candidates for the upcoming elections. This is very exciting.
There will always be naysayers, killjoys and down right mean people.
The the way to learn more about City/County government is to attend the Council meetings. Art does such a good job reporting that many of us have no longer been attending.
Now to get back on the subject. There is a meeting of the City/County Committee at noon on February 14th. I believe that this is in the City Council Chamber. Art, could you or Pappy varify that?
Those of us that will attend want to have lunch and discuss the subjects addressed.
We need to plan a "Blogger's Lunch" soon. Would it be more convienient on Saturday? Those of you who want to attend please give us your suggestions.

Not quite ...
Maybe some place that the Tin Foil Hat Brigade will be for breakfast or lunch. Imagine being able to identify all five of Ricky's callers in person ....

Petunia,
The first one was in a small room entered on the side of City Hall. Hopefully Art will read this and come to our rescue with a specific answer.
As for a bloggers' lunch, I believe that a Saturday would be more convenient for most. Perhaps a place like Ryan's or Golden Corral ( so Ed can get all the ice cream he wants ).

Pappy,
The County has canceled the meeting of the County/City Joint Committee for the Month of February. The next meeting is schedules for March 13. However, I would not count on it.

I vote for this Sat at Golden Corral. And I'll buy lunch for the oldest blogger, again. I'll also take pictures for those that need an alibi.

You know ...
Saturday Morning + Saylor's Crossroads ... Grits and Groceries. Seating might be an issue, so . . .
. . . back to Ed's suggestion.

The last two attempts were poorly attended, perhaps due to the day and place.
I suggest that anyone who wants to get together and put faces to comments, please say so.
If we get more than half a dozen let's do it.
Put Mrs PAPPY and I down.
Ed, what time do you suggest ?

I'm in. Sounds like a good time to me. I just wish one of the bars at Golden Corral had beer.
