Okay, Pappy,
I was wrong to imply that Mr. Waldrep would not take my call. I should have been more clear. It was Saturday I believe when I pulled this thread up to ask about the acreditation in the Transportation Department. I truly doubt any council member would call me back on Saturday, not just Mr. Waldrep.
And I have called Mr. Waldrep's office and he has always called me back. He has always been professional, kind, and respectful. Mr. Waldrep does give constituent service even to those that oppose him. He cannot be faulted for that.
So, please excuse me for being on both sides of that fence. I have always apreciated his ability to set aside differences for the sake of business and constituent service.

Accreditation is not the magic bullet. Leave a departments budget flat for ten years and roads fall apart. That's the only thing lacking in this county.
Preston poured all the money into his pet projects for all those years and totally ignored the rapid decline of our roads and bridges.
City fat cats are no better. They spent all the money on brick pavers. They only have to remember to direct their travelling guests down main street, and keep them as far away from side streets as possible.
